We only stayed for 1 night. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, from front desk, valet, to bartenders.
Centrally located and easy to walk to many places. The only negative would be the $67 valet parking fee!!

What a city. Clean, friendly and so much to do.
What a city. Clean, friendly and so much to do. The food was exceptional, plus great bars and music, the place comes alive at night. Stand out was Fogo De Chao Brazilian steakhouse. A dream destination for a carnivore that has an incredible selection of salads for vegetarians as well and great service. We’re definitely coming back.

Austin is a very busy and active city, there are always a ton of people out and about. We stayed on the east side and ate some really good food spots - for dinner we had Lin Asian Bar + Dim Sum with fantastic soup dumplings with chili oil and spicy cucumbers. They have a great menu for food but drinks very overpriced. The next morning, we strolled around Lady Bird Lake and it is really fun to people watch all the serious runners or cute dogs. Afterwards, we had brunch and went to Cenote - located on Ceasar Chavez which have fantastic homestyle brunch with a large drink menu if you like cold brew, matcha lattes and things of the sort. There are lots of gluten free and vegan options, very many food truck lots around - it is a very dynamic and progressive city. The one thing I did notice (and this may be typical for a downtown area) but the houseless population is getting increasingly worse and more intense than previous years visiting Austin. It's a great city for very active/athletic people because you can do everything from trail running, to biking, kayaking, or Supping. It's a very dog friendly culture, and perfect for tattooed weirdos looking to just feel relaxed and at ease. I say that with all love, you can go anywhere in Austin and not feel like you have to be dressed up. Because of the influx of people that have moved here, you will always be in traffic if you are driving or Ubering so make sure to add that into your ETA. Expect to spend more than the average on dining and entertainment.

South Congress is growing and changing making the scene a little different than before. South Lamar's Half Price Books is unmatched in variety and resourcefulness. Also a variety of thrift shops, worth checking out is Stardust Vintage for eclectic finds and helpful staff. You can also find Shiny Things for Shiny People on Lamar for a crazy assortment of crystals and more cool items.
If you need a refreshing drink Juiceland is everywhere but check the original Juiceland on Barton Springs Road, then down the way is Zilker Park and Zilker Botanical Gardens.

Austin is a fun place. You can find great food, amazing boutiques, and historical venues. Torchys Tacos are “damn good”….Franklin’s Barbecue is smoking. I find getting around Austin is a little bit of a challenge. My family really enjoyed swimming at Barton Springs.

Really fun city, plenty to do. Everyone is very nice.
Really fun city, plenty to do. Everyone is very nice. Found it was helpful to ask some locals where the 30 year olds hangout & got some great recommendations which proved to be really good. Barton Springs Pool is a must in the summer heat for something unique.
The staff was wonderful, they were so friendly, fun and helpful. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The rooftop view is incredible, and it is pretty quiet, so lovely to just chill out. The lobby is lovely and there is a nice bar. The hotel is very close to the capitol, it's about a 10min walk. The walk to central downtown is a bit further, approximately 30-40min, but by uber/car it would probably be less than 10min. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant. Everything was nice nd clean. THe location was good for us since we wanted to spend the evening in a music bar around the corner.
We had valet parking, which was necessary downtown Austin.
We received bottles of water when we checked in. Very thoughtful.
Sammie was unbelievably helpful to us before and during our our stay! The location was perfect for the Austin Convention Centre and bars in downtown Austin - we barely needed an taxi for anything.
Fantastic location - was effectively in the middle of downtown Austin, very helpful and pleasant staff, and (grading on a hostel-specific curve) the space was clean and well maintained.
I love the location- south Austin with really close proximity to downtown/south Congress. I have stayed here many times and will absolutely do so again!
