I arrived at the hotel at midnight and the desk person said that the hotel was closed as they had no power for most of the day during an ice storm. I asked why they did not email to let me know that my reservation was cancelled and he just shrugged. I asked him if he knew of any hotels that had vacancies and again he just shrugged. I asked him when I would be refunded my prepaid hotel room and he said 5 business days. I then got onto the internet and found a Holiday express at 300% of my Comfort Inn reservation. It has now been four weeks since my bad experience. comfort inn have not reimbursed me and have not responded to any of my enquiries . I contacted Booking.com who I booked through and they messaged Comfort Inn but after five days they told me that they had no response and that there was nothing more they could do. I am now dealing with PayPal and am trying to get reimbursed. The bottom line is don’t stay here. They have no integrity and don’t expect Booking.com to have your back as they don’t.
No time to tour or visit NOTE!! Airport car rental companies do NOT accept DEBIT cards! I reserved and paid Expedia ahead of time. After landing, attempted to get rental car. FOX, who I’d never heard of wanted a $50 deposit on my credit card. I only had my debit card with me and cash. I was suddenly stranded at the airport!! Obviously, I was very frustrated, angry and worried! Caught an Uber ride to Cedar Park, Tx and rented a car at Avis with debit card. Agent said none of the car rentals at airport take debit card. Between Uber and on the spot Avis rental I spent $300+ over original Expedia booking!! Now Expedia balking on paying anything back!! BEWARE!
Austin has no accommodations for those with mobility issues. They do not take AMERICAN CURRENCY anywhere as Austin buinesses and city officials want to starve out the poor. DON'T COME TO AUSTIN IF you don't have a credit card. NO ONE TAKES CASH. The only help you have is the FIRE DEPARTMENT. and there are no ADA UBERS or LIFTS, the bus will not even carry your wheelchair here.
Austin is aplace were you can loose your self. A great experience starts by you giving an oportunity to something diffrent.. employment, culture, scenery, great food, plenty of festivals.. Austin Tx BABY....
Austin met or exceeded expectations. Great food, music, sight seeing, the University. My only complaint is we were hit with a hard sales pitch for the timeshare when we arrived after a 12 hour travel day. This wasn't anticipated since we went through Booking.com and it wasn't listed during the booking. The facility was in excellent condition, great central location, clean and quiet. I would recommend Austin and Wyndham.
Everyone was tremendously helpful. Shuttle was early and running every 15 minutes. The room was beautiful and worth every penny even though my son and I were there for only one night. They had a great choice of beverages and even formed a bottle of wine for me to take to the room.
The rooms are extremely clean, staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just ok because they could not serve hot self-served food since the health protocols of the covid-19 would not allow so. The bathroom is tidy and spotless even much cleaner that mine at home😅😅. The location is a bit far from the downtown but still accessible and quiet. If I travel to Austin again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.
We stayed for a concert we were attending at the Moody Theater. I felt like this hotel was in a great location because we were able to travel to downtown Austin easily (Just jump on to I35) and the drive didn't take long at all. At the same time, it was far enough out that you didn't feel like you were in the traffic and bustle of downtown. Our next trip to Austin, this is where we will be staying!
Breakfast comfort atmosphere was beyond amazing. There was a mix up with my room in the beginning but the management and staff were prompt polite and professional with making it right for me and my friend! We enjoyed it especially the sunrise with the gorgeous view of downtown. I absolutely LOVE AUSTIN and Marriott Downtown sure did make my experience incredibly more enjoyable! Thank yall! :) - David Wiggs
Such friendly staff at reception. Breakfast was better than most of the equivalent hotels in the region with rather more choice - love those waffle makers! Room spacious and good air con (believe me, absolutely essential anywhere in Texas in summer!) Good value for money. You could pay a lot lot more in Austin - it's a thriving, expanding city and downtown hotels do not come cheap.
loved that there is sanitation stations in almost all areas where there is lots of touching like elevator doors and inside elevators. in the hallways and inside the lobby. the room was a good size and beds were comfy. we had a top floor room and it looks really nice being able to look out and see the downtown life of Austin, Texas right under you. I will hopefully be coming here again!
Austin
Property is spacious, clean and well furnished. Kitchen had everything you’d need to cook if you are so inclined or on a long stay. Much better than a hotel and well located for downtown and the convention centre. Staff - Reid - was excellent communicator pre, during and post my stay and on hand to resolve any issues that arose.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful boutique hotel! The decor is stunning, the attention to detail in the rooms unmatched. One of my NEW favorites in the Austin Area. Will definitely be staying here again.
The hotel is in a great downtown Austin location. Central to the suburbs and areas around Austin, close to the highway. There are a few places within walking distance, such as bars and convenience stores.
The location was perfect. Close to all of the good stuff in downtown Austin, including restaurants, Whole Foods, and bus stops and nice old historic houses to break up the view of all the new sky rises.
The staff was very efficient and friendly. We drove 10 hours to Austin to watch the Alabama vs Texas game and had new nothing about the hotel or Austin. The staff made our stay very enjoyable.
Good location. Basic economy motel in downtown Austin. This is where I stay in Austin when I need low cost accommodation. It is a reliable no frills motel that does the job.
Everything was very clean and modern inside of the hotel room. A quick and cheap uber away from Austin... a better alternative than staying right in the city center!
Spacious, comfortable room right in the centre next to the capitol, walking distance to most places downtown. Probably the cheapest option in the area.
Close to the airport. Fast and easy to get Austin downtown. A good restaurant. Normal breakfasts. Quiet.
I only liked the place of the hotel which is close to Downtown and easy access from highway.
Nice hotel. Wish we had been a little closer to the restaurants in downtown Austin.
The hotel was what I expected. I like how close the hotel was to downtown Austin.
