Well situated in Austin, East Austin Hotel has air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool. The atmosphere at East Austin Hotel is absolutely blissful and I will definitely be back for any future trip to Austin! - The staff was remarkable, as each member I met was kind and personable to me. - The pool, the terrace bar, and the ground floor cafe are all fantastic amenities. Both the food and vibe are desirable, and you’ll be lucky to be graced by executive chef, James’s, presence. - The rooms are cute and the cleaning was on par. - The location is also great - a long walk or scooter ride brought me to meetings and exploring downtown, and East Austin has a lot to offer, too! Hands down, a perfect stay!

South Austin, Downtown Austin, and East Austin are popular with other travelers visiting Austin.
Stayed overnight but I'll definitely remember cruising around the State Capitol in an electric scooter at 11PM mostly by myself. The whole vibe of the town is very cool and, coming from Manhattan, so cheap! (Uber to the airport from the downtown area was $11).
Downtown Austin has changed, the gentrification is almost complete, making it just like every other big city. 6th street is now seedy and impoverished, cursed by bachelor and bachelorette parties. All a bit sad really. There's still interesting places to visit, but you have to leave downtown.
The staff is great, the place is squeaky clean. But there is no taxi service accommodation, though one of the staff Carter went out his way to help us get a cab one night when we needed one, and I really did appreciate his efforts because we were able to meet up with friends at a distance for food and drinks get together. We also needed a cab to airport when leaving, but I made arrangements with booking.com. I think the hotel has to try and get taxi accommodations for visiting guests or make clear notice of this deficiency because not every one uses Uber... just saying, otherwise all is great.
Great city for booze and food, especially for the singles scene. Mature travelers will enjoy the quaint vs. modern architecture, taco trucks, ubiquitous music, museums and trendy neighborhoods. Stayed on Congress Bridge 2 hours waiting for bats to swarm but they never did, however we caught up on some people watching and got plenty of exercise walking afterward. Scooter rental was too intimidating for us, the Tuk Tuk we spotted would have suited us fine though! Great barbacoa taco at Las Trancas on Cesar Chavez. Wanted to try CJ's but didn't make it, husband was over saturated with Tex-Mex by then. Venezuelan arepas were very satisfying - get on over to Rainey Street and check out the 4 Brothers truck.
If you have kids I recommend you to go to the Aquarium of Austin it was super cool for my kids to see all the animals they had to offer. When you've worked up an appetite I recommend trying Eureka I ordered the Spicy chicken sandwich it was to die for. Downtown Austin is a total vibe it's clean and have so many pedestrian biking or walking their dogs it's so much to do there. First time visiting Austin and it will not be my last time there.
Austin is a beautiful city to see. We took a bike tour around the city that started around the waterfront and went around the city to the capitol. Our highlights were actually the bike tour, seeing the capitol, the Driskill Hotel, numerous speakeasys/jazz and comedy clubs and some very wonderful restaurants. If you stay downtown, I would recommend staying between 2nd and 5th street. The "dirty 6th" gets shady in spots and appears rough. If you're coming to/from the airport into/out of the city, there is the blue bus that you can take (number 20) for $1.25 (even change). It's a nice 35-40 minute ride.
This is the second Arrive hotel I’ve stayed in and both have beautiful, spacious rooms in great locations. This hotel is a two minute walk from the bus stop into central Austin but is also on a road filled with amazing independent restaurants, coffee shops, bars, food trucks and a great yoga studio - the rooms were quiet though and I slept really well here. You get a free drink on arrival and the hotel’s recommended list of restaurants was super useful.
Amazing view of the city from our 33rd floor room. The room was great and the beds were really comfortable. Check in staff and the staff in general were extremely helpful and went out of their way in the restaurant to get us drinks not on the menu. Car parking was really easy. I highly recommend this hotel, the location is also perfect really close to downtown and Rainy Street for bars and restaurants and it is only 15 minutes drive to the airport.
The rooms are extremely clean, staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just ok because they could not serve hot self-served food since the health protocols of the covid-19 would not allow so. The bathroom is tidy and spotless even much cleaner that mine at home😅😅. The location is a bit far from the downtown but still accessible and quiet. If I travel to Austin again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.
The hotel was in an excellent location. We had a car, but could have taken the bus down Riverside and/or used scooters or bikes to go to restaurants, drugstores, and get groceries. There was easy access to green spaces and beautiful views. Straight route to downtown Austin and freeways. Excellent spot to be near airport with no noise. Bonus space under the bed to store your bags.
Staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Covid safety precautions are taken seriously here. Location is pretty decent. Right off of I-35N and about a 7-10 minute drive to downtown(without traffic). Within walking distance of many restaurants. Spacious rooms, which is great for longer stays. Definitely wouldn't mind staying here again for the next trip to Austin.
The omlett bar at breakfast was very nice. The size of the room was generous and the thick carpet comfortable. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. And if you need a small someting (snack ...) they have a small shop in the reception area. The price-performance ratio is better than in the downtown hotels.
The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean, large, and spacious. The hotel was within 20-25 minute walking distance of everything. Including downtown Austin, West 6th Street, Rainey Street, and South Congress. The happy hour the hotel offered was really cool and the continental breakfast was AWESOME!
We loved this down-to-earth quirky little hotel. The price was good. Staff were very friendly. Location was just the right distance between downtown, SoCo and the airport. We plan to make this our regular hotel when traveling to Austin.
Location was very good and the size of the room exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again when traveling to Austin.
pet friendly with one time pet cleaning fee. good floor plan for a hotel suite. Breakfast was included. Parking was free. Access to freeway was near by and 20 min to downtown Austin. 10 minutes to some hiking areas.
The bed was comfortable and the space in the room was good. The locaiton of the hotel is very close to downtown and to the I35. Its enough for a short stay or if you have a short budget.
Very conveniently located in downtown Austin. Rooms are spacious, clean and elegant. Staff is kind and helpful. Very good breakfast, with great variety.
The hotel was in with walking distance of downtown Austin.
The location was good short drive to downtown Austin.
