The hotel is just north of town and near a main roads that go north/south and east/west. Nearby is a new gas station so you can fuel up before heading out on local travel or when heading to your next destination. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. We especially liked that there were extra towels in the room, probably due to them having a pool in the hotel as one of the amenities. The windows had not only two sets of curtains but also a privacy screen that could be lowered to let sun in and block anyone from other rooms from looking in. the single coffee/tea in room was well stocked which is always good for us early risers that want that in the morning. Beds were a bit soft for my taste but my traveling companion thought it was good. They do serve a nice breakfast from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends. Fresh orange juice (not from a concentrate in a machine) and a way to make waffles was really good along with the biscuits & sausage gravy and well as eggs, French toast, bacon and sausage it was a real good breakfast. The hotel is a bit older than some in the area, but looks well kept up. In fact they were working on exterior upgrades to the exterior and Interior when we arrived on a weekend which meant that some of the parking spaces outside were blocked off but they still had plenty of spaces for the guests. Some of the interior passageways were under construction but not hard to navigate.

A quaint small city - some lovely restaurants in the downtown area - load of amenity out of town, too. Very friendly people! Many shops / restaurants are closed Monday - so take that into consideration!
