It was wonderful. I felt like I was experiencing a different era. The furniture was very comfortable and cozy. I enjoyed looking at pictures and trinkets from the past. Nancy my host was able to tell me about the history of the house, and of surrounding areas. Nancy showed me the room I was to have, she showed me the family’s vintage wedding gowns. I’m a seamstress so this was a real treat. I had an upgrade in my room. I was on the top floor which had been renovated with a shower. Great water pressure and grateful for the hot water. I had only the one night stay, but I’ll definitely go back if I travel that way. I had a great breakfast of baked apple with oatmeal, An herb egg soufflé with buttered French bread. It was a great way to start my journey home.

The views from our room were beautiful. The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel had great food and the staff was amazing. Complimentary breakfast was good. Something for everyone. Great location to the university.
