I liked how close the parking was to the front entrance. I also liked how bright, clean and friendly the facility felt. I did not like that we had to ask for additional towels at the front desk due to the staff not able to deliver them. I waited for approximately 5 minutes at the front desk for someone to come to the front desk to help me. That was frustrating. The desk clerk stated that he was sorry that I had to wait because he was folding laundry. The room was very spacious! I didn't leave my cell phone charger behind and that was a bummer. Overall great stay in Biddeford.
I am familiar with the biddeford area so I wasn't seeing it with fresh eyes. I stayed there because it was a middle point to everything I wanted to do while I was down in the area. The closest hot spots to the hotel are Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell, Sweet Frog, Amatos, 99 Restaurant, All Day Breakfast, which I highly recommend. Goodwill, Job Lots, and Big Lots I believe. Irving Gas Station, Cumberland Farms, Market Basket, Panera Bread, Applebees, Michaels, Kohls, Home Depot, Target, TJ Max, and much more. You really are surrounded by things to eat and shopping. About a 10-15 minute drive you are in Old Orchard Beach. Currently their amusement park is down due to coronavirus but the shops are open. I personally had Dunkin and Amatoes, I tried to get into All Day Breakfast because it's my favorite breakfast place. They are so nice their, it's quaint, the food is amazing, and the price is right for what you get. With coronavirus and sitting people away from others it was taking a little time. Nothing crazy but I had a lot to do and couldn't wait sadly. I did walk the shops in Old Orchard but didn't buy anything. The quality isn't their for the price I don't feel when it comes to the clothes. Traffic isn't bad from the hotel location. The hospital is right across the end of the road the hotel sits on but I never heard sirens really for the fact.
There is not a single thing that this place needs to change! It is perfect. Its far enough away from noise and commotion but just hop in the car and drive 10 minutes either direction and you are surrounded by wonderful things to do
Bidderford is a town with a wide variety of offerings and landscapes. It is both a rural town, and a small city. The rural town is quite nice and not pretentious, like some of it's neighbors. The city part is a bit run town and in need of a shot of some restoration. There is plenty of shopping at the Shops at Biddeford Crossing on Alfred Ave. (RT 111). It's a great stopping off point, right off I-95 on your way to points North in Maine, especially if starting off in New York or Southern New England. It is centrally located to most of the Southern Maine beach towns, as well as the Portland/Freeport areas.
There's a lot to do in Biddeford and its very close to Old Orchard Beach (the focal point of our stay). There's every store and place to eat you could possibly need. Its certainly not the nicest town in Maine, but its very conveinent if you plan of a longer stay in Maine, past a few days. If you're only staying for a weekend, I'd recommend a nicer town, even if the stores are more sparse.
Cute town. Biddeford Pool is pretty, but you have to get a parking sticker from town hall to park there. The Run of the Mill brewery and restaurant was fantastic. Make sure to eat outside. Was also a nice easy drive to Ferry Beach State Park - that was well worth it!
