Not impressed. I would recommend Ithaca if you need to be in the upstate New York area. Horrible service, no places to go out, no places to shop, bad restaurants, rude and ignorant people, definitely need a car to get around, taxi service is not existent. Avoid Colonial unless you want long wait and unfriendly bartender girl. Avoid Double Tree River Bistro - will not get a good service from the bartenders there. Avoid Oakdale Mall - it's absolutely dead. If you want good food your best bet is Wegmans. If you need a restaurant, I recommend Kampai for Japanese, the Despina's for fantastic homemade Mediterranean food, Basha's for Lebanese, Nirchi's for pizza. If you need a store, your best bet is Target for general things. Wegmans is the best for groceries, they also have a good liquor store next door.
Signage on the interstate could be better. When it says, for example, take I-90, it doesn't specify N, S, E or W. Didn't actually spend any time in Binghamton. We were there to visit Harpursville Animal Adventure Park. Sorry we missed the Carousel park though
Well, I was raised in Binghamton, on North Floral Ave, a dead-end street north of Main St by the Arch separating Binghamton from Johnson City... it's been about 55 years since I've been back... So much has changed... so much.
Lost Dog Cafe across the street is a great place to eat, and Cracker Barrel, not too far away, is another good restaurant option. Animal Adventure Park is a great place for the family. Very clean and a wonderful home for many endangered animals.
Rust belt community trying to remake itself into university town. Most popular restaurant appears to be Wegmans grocery store. Binghamton does have great tasting water. The roads are pretty rough, lots of potholes and damaged road surfaces. Binghamton area does have some of the most scenic golf courses at very reasonable rates.
My daughter has been going to Binghamton University for the last three years and I thoroughly enjoy going up to visit her numerous times each year.... The city has a lot to offer... the surrounding setting is beautiful, nearby the Finger Lakes to do a day trip and enjoy wineries, And the Binghamton University campus is absolutely beautiful
I have stayed at this hotel many many times. The breakfasts have always been great .The motel is comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. One thing you might like to look into is redoing the bathrooms. Get rid of the tubs and have walk-in showers. They are easier to clean and safer to get in and out of.Other then that you have a great motel..Dorothy English

We love the waffles, they are great for breakfast especially for our little ones. Everytime we stay here the staff is always polite and anything we need, towels, plates or anything else they are more than happy to get it for us. This is our go to hotel when staying in this area. The price for the weekend isn't bad at all, definitely worth it!
the lady at the front desk was very rude I’ve never had such a rude front desk person at a hotel but she was beyond rude at check in and then to my boyfriend at check out she was very rude when it was completely uncalled for I will definitely pick somewhere else next time
This is a very comfortable hotel. It is very quiet. I only heard others in the hallway maybe once or twice. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. This is the second time I have stayed here and it won't be the last.
A nice new hotel just off the highway. It is perfectly located for the person traveling though Binghamton. Nothing fancy, but very clean and fresh.
Always loved this hotel. Decor, view on the river, up-scale elements. Great personnel. Great food. Thank God the restaurant is now open.
Wonderful river views and excellent location for the sights, sounds and tastes of downtown Binghamton
Very convenient location for our travels. An Economy Hotel but acceptable. Nice Breakfast.
The hotel was clean and convenient to the highways we were travelling for our trip.
Not much except it wasn’t too far from Binghamton campus
