Boulder City is an amazing little town, really friendly...

Boulder City is an amazing little town, really friendly people. The town is exceptionally clean, wide pavements, wide roads, lots of restaurants and shops. Plenty of evening entertainment as you walk around in different bars, something for everyone. The town is lit up at night time with lights zig zagging from lamp posts around the streets, really lovely.

Boulder City is an historic community.

Boulder City is an historic community. Planned and built by the Federal Government in the 1930's to house the workers who constructed Hoover Dam. The Boulder Dam Hotel sits in the heart of the old downtown, a walkable area of incredible charm and interest.

Beautiful charming locale.

Beautiful charming locale. Plenty of parking with fine art and bronze statues placed throughout. Coffee shop in town a must go to. Unfortunately only an overmight stop along our trip. We will definitely be back to explore more.

Boulder City is very clean and well laid out.

Boulder City is very clean and well laid out. Easily walkable. We felt quite safe there. The people are friendly. Choice of restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. Two night stay would be ideal or perhaps 3 nights if you wanted to see further afield.

I had breakfast in the World Famous Coffee Cup, it had a vibrant diner feel, if you arrive at a busy time as it's first come first served, and it's popular, I was there at 9.30am Sunday and got a seat at the bar, don't worry there were other great looking places to choose from in the same location too. I also visited the Boulder Dam Hotel & Museum while in the town which tells the story of the building of the Hoover Dam (the lives of the workers and their families). Lake Mead is stunning and can be seen from the road to Hoover Dam, I stopped by the Alan Bible Visitors Centre which was great for more Dam history & gifts and is also the start of the Hoover Dam Walking Trail which is a few miles long but worth it for the views (pack water, snacks & sunscreen and don't do it in the Summer heat!)

The location of Hoover Dam Lodge is incredible. I loved the views of the mountains from my window and the access to the Hoover Dam Trail, which is right on the doorstep meaning I could easily walk to The Hoover Dam and back (20,000k steps) in a day. The views from the trail are exceptional, take water, food & sunscreen, the trail is well marked. I visited Boulder City and had Breakfast at The World Famous Coffee Cup & did a tour of The Boulder Dam Hotel & Museum.

I stayed here just because of the hotel/casinos history and it was definitely worth it Good clean room for a good price Ross/Russ the barman is a really nice guy, really helpful and made sure I always had a drink in hand Lots of slot machines to play (lots of lightning link style and buffalo machines)

Historic hotel in downtown Boulder City, NV. Within walking distance to cafe and shopping. It was chilly and rainy weather but the fireplace in the lobby was welcoming and appreciated. Hot coffee in the early morning and late at night was appreciated.
