Uniontown (Near Connellsville)
The Hampton Inn Uniontown hotel is located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, a town full of homes, historic buildings and numerous cultural attractions. Uniontown Mall is 2625 feet away. Breakfast and maintenance staff were really pleasant, informative and professional and took really good care of us. They really cared that we were there. Breakfast was well done and presented. The rooms and corridors were well maintained and clean. The location was also good for visits into the Allegheny Mountains, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, Morgantown, The Summit Inn and Pittsburgh. It was suggested to us that Meloni's Restaurant in Uniontown was a long time favorite and it sure was. We ate there on 3 nights.

We visited the Fallingwater House in Mill Run PA and needed a local inn to stay at before heading north on our road trip. We stayed at the Connellsville Bed and Breakfast which was excellent and had dinner in Uniontown.
Fantastic area for those looking to explore the great outdoors. Close proximity to two historic Frank Lloyd Wright properties, including the UNESCO World Heritage site, Fallingwater. Plenty of amenities and activities. Also a great area for cyclists.
I visit Connellsville because family lives here. I do wish the hotel I stayed at had an outdoor pool, as the weather was very hot in June. I love a place called Leos Pub to eat at. The view from the Comfort Inn in Connellsville is lovely, and its right along the river. There was a river festival going on while I was there, with vendors, and all sorts of food to choose from. There is a very quaint place called Hometown Diner that brings you right back to the 50s. There is shopping close by, and Pittsburg is only about 40 minutes away.
Connellsville is a good location to hook onto the GAP or to whitewater raft in nearby Ohiopyle. The town is small and really not much else happening there. Perhaps a few more decent hotels would give it an extra economic Tourism boost for the folks living there due to the hiking, biking, and river sports nearby.
We enjoyed a nice dinner at a local Italian restaurant - Ruvo's. The owner went out of his way to help us enjoy our meal. He prepared outdoor seating for us. The meal was delicious - chicken parmesan and meatballs were awesome. The caprese salad was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the place.
