Hotel in Eureka
The landmark Eureka Inn in Eureka Town, California, is listed on the country's National Register of Historical Places. The hotel lobby is beautiful and full of history. The room and bathroom were clean. The pillows were extremely comfortable and abundant (4 pillows in the bed). The hotel is an old building, but it did not smell old at all. There were air fresheners all over the lobby, for example. The hotel itself was the highlight of our trip to Eureka. They made an effort to provide at least coffee and donuts for breakfast during COVID times and I appreciate this. I was curious to see what the presidential suite looks like, knowing all the presidents that have stayed there.

Featuring an indoor pool, this Eureka, California hotel is a 7-minute drive from Sequoia Park Zoo. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all rooms. Humboldt State University is a 15-minute drive away. Covid 19 protocol, required no hot breakfasts, staff did provide bagged breakfast, included muffin of the day, apple, yogurt, and a cookie. Adel's restaurant located across the street from the hotel, served takeout which we brought back to the hotel. Hotel location was convenient since restaurants were close by and room accommodations were nice. Staff were all great!!

The 100 percent smoke free Comfort Inn Humboldt Bay is located just minutes from the Sequoia Park Zoo, Humboldt State University and College of the Redwoods. I stayed at this property on my return from California to Washington over New Year’s eve and a friend and I decided to do a spur of the moment redwoods hiking trip We had been booked in Crescent city at a facility there but they were absolutely horrible and nothing was as it was led to believe it would be so fortunately I canceled that Accommodation and we drove an additional 80 miles south to stay at this amazing location because I knew I would get what I paid for and a whole lot more The rooms were awesome the beds were awesome the room smelled clean the room was comfortable I have absolutely no complaints about this facility it meets and exceeds all my expectations

The staff is helpful and accommodating. Friendly people, we had a nice breakfast on a small cafe just across our hotel called Eureka depot. This cafe is a must who like to support small business in town. She makes really good croissant sandwhich and coffee.
I love traveling to Eureka for the sandy beaches. The fresh smell of salt water is enlightening for a mountain woman such as myself. The one way streets can be a little frustrating for a tourist but thank goodness for GPS and Google Maps.
This place and Arcata are dumps. This area has the highest # of people below the poverty line in the state and it shows. Homeless people walking everywhere and begging in drive thru eateries. No where safe to walk around at night. No nice restaurants. No nice part of town and no shopping outside of chain discount stores.
I have been to Eureka many times, but this was my first time outside of tourist season. My main problem was that I couldn't find a restaurant open after 9pm and we arrived at 8:45 after an entire day's drive. I have a student at HSU so I will see more of Eureka at different times of year, now! I love the fog and the beach, but I was with someone who can't walk on sand very well so we stuck to walking paths, lots of lunches, taking pictures of Carson Mansion and the Pink Lady and looking for elk. I always recommend Samoa Cookhouse to any newcomer to the area. The food is decent and the museum is very educational. I've loved it since I was a child.
Liked what I saw but in truth I didn't see much. Went mostly to check out the Woodley Island Marina, which I liked. The marina restaurant has good food, the Shrimp Louis I had was outstanding. Wife and I walked around old town, an older gentleman was playing the violin and he was a good musician but couldn't play the theme music to Outlander because he hadn't watched tv in years and hadn't heard it before. I suggested he learn it as I'm sure that half the ladies that heard him playing it would be paying him handsomely for it.
Eureka is a dirty, cold, ugly town. Would not recommend with so many other gorgeous areas of Ca. SKIP. Food was bad, hotel was gross, weather was awful, and town closed down early. Did not feel safe walking around with all the obvious drug use.
The hotel is beautiful. The history is rich, the furniture and historical structures and furnishings amazing, and that is why people stay here. The halls of fame are interesting. The staff is helpful and the location is in old town Eureka. And you can get a fan from the front desk in warmer weather! The rooms are clean and updated. The bed was comfortable. Yes the sink has no room for toiletries but there is a metal shelf above the toilet and a shelf below the sink.
Eureka
Historic aspect enjoyable. Location a bit unsettling, as we first parked on the street and were noticed by a group of what appeared to be "drifters" hanging about drinking, etc. Glad you have a parking lot. Hotel is fun and interesting. Elevator not working the morning we left. One of your staff kindly took my suitcase down the steep stairs! Our room was well-outfitted. Bed mattress was way too soft, and neither of us slept well.
Eureka is not a nice place, but this hotel / motel was a good deal. There were better and more upscale hotels in the area, but they were much more expensive and I didn't feel like dropping big bucks to stay in Eureka, so this place was very adequate, the rooms were very clean and the beds were new and comfortable. The owners are very pleasant and they work hard to make this place comfortable and clean.
The full hot breakfast was fabulous! The bed was very good, the water pressure was great and the hot water plentiful. The pool & spa were very clean. The staff was courteous & helpful. Even though the property is on US 101 in Eureka, there was no traffic noise in the room! Property entrance & exit is very easy. We will stay again.
Eureka
The room was huge! So that was great! The beds were also very comfortable! The TVs had a large range of channels too. The restaurant at the hotel is delicious (though the fries weren't so good) and the hotel is right across from a great breakfast spot (the omelette house). It's a small town, but the location was great!
Eureka
It was definitely a 5-star hotel experience. The house is gorgeous. Everything was sparkling clean. So many beautiful small details to add extra comfort like a towel warmer. Our favorite part was a complementary breakfast basket :)
I really like this hotel. It’s the 2nd time we went there. The room is very good. We surely go in this hotel everytime we go to Eureka.
Comfortable, convenient, and dog friendly location. Possible to walk to restaurants in old town Eureka and along the waterfront.
