I loved the roʻom and nice whirlnpool. Plus the bed was çomfortblè. Room wss clean and the ptice wss great.
Please visit the north part of the state! It's unlike anything you have seen. Make reservations for Fern Canyon about six weeks in advance. Downtown Eureka is very quaint and the events are awesome. It's like walking through a movie set. I highly recommended Humboldt County for all explorers!

Eureka is a very nice coastal town.
Eureka is a very nice coastal town. After living there for almost 30 years, it has changed for the better and worst like most. The new boardwalk is very nice, the city has made some nice changes. But, as in any place right now expect to interact with the homeless, and those that need help with mental issues. Mainly, park in well lit areas, and make sure you leave no valuables in the car. Jacks Seafood at 4th and C, has really become one of my fav's to eat at. They have figured out quality of food overcomes quantity of guests. So, if busy you will wait, this way they enssure your dinning experience is worth the wait.

Old Town was delightful with wonderful staff at each location. Visit the Clarke Historical Museum in Old Town and if you like trains, then the Timber Heritage Association in Samoa (on a Tues or Fri if you want to tour the nearby WWII landing craft) If you've ever had the Somoa Cookhouse experience, especially as a kid...you'll be disappointed to find out a local developer shut it down in 2023 with the promise to re-open it as part of their Major Renovation project to be completed in 2024 LOL LOL
As of June 2024, nothing has even started appearing to be a case of politics as usual and it will never be restored ):

Gorgeous redwoods and lots of hike.
Gorgeous redwoods and lots of hike. The town has several fun and unique shops. I highly recommend Ramones Bakery for breakfast and lunch. The Sea Grill offers fine dining and very good steaks and prime rib for non-seafood folks.

Eureka was very pretty just not a lot to do, the mall really wasn't what I would consider a mall. The homeless population is pretty large. I wish they had more options for eating, lots of Mexican restaurants but not many American ones. If you drink diet coke be prepared, we had a very hard time finding them.

Very interesting town I wish I had more time to spend there and explore. Apparently not so safe, a lot of homeless and drug users in the old town part, but nova-days that happens everywhere… the town has something magical about it, definitely great past there somewhere… too bad its not being cultivated. Locals seemed quite interesting and friendly especially at coffee shops and bookstore downtown.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Eureka
This hotel has all you expect from a good 2 star hotel. It is conveniently located, has ample parking space, the rooms are clean, the bed was comfy, the people in the reception are friendly. No fancy stuff or thrills, but it should not be expected. All in all - it is a good choice.
The room was clean, and the staff friendly. We only stayed one night because we were traveling north, and literally just spent the night. It's ok for a motel, but if I were to go back to Eureka I'd search for another place.
