Everything was perfect! I really enjoyed my stay. The bedroom (number 3) was exactly like in the pictures, even better. I loved the location, 1 min away from downtown. There’s also a little supermarket nearby very convenient. There’s a beautiful patio outside. Highly recommend Check in and check out was smooth and easy. Loved it, I’ll be back

i ran to galveston to escape the cold - but even galveston caught it to some degree. the high that monday was 29 degrees farenheit. i'm looking forward to trying this later in the year when the water's warm and i can go walk on the beaches or maybe even swim. also, the ferry across the bolivar peninsula is free and i rode it just to ride it about four times ...

Galveston's nice. Ive been here 10 times.

Galveston's nice. Ive been here 10 times. We tried several places to eat. Landrys, Joes crab shack, and Rainforest cafe. Landrys the best by far. We did some shopping but not at the Strand, parking is a nightmare, and too crowded. The local shops are better. We stayed at Tru Hilton. Worst room with a view of the parking lot and no private balcony. When I had reserved 3 months in advance. When they say ocean view and show a picture of the ocean, you think that is what you are getting. We got to our room, and all we saw was the parking lot. There was no private balcony. You could see everyone out on their balcony, so no privacy. I asked for the room I reserved private balcony, ocean view I was told they had no more rooms. Because I had booked with booking.com, they would not give me another room or refund my money! I complained and asked every day for a better room, but was told 'none available'. When I checked on numerous sites, showing rooms available. And talking to the manager was no help. I tried to contact customer service and no answer all weekend. I had a foot injury and we got the 'private balcony, ocean view' room so we could lie in bed and rest and SEE the ocean! So this was an expensive trip just to see cars in the parking lot. I could have gotten a room at motel 6 for a lot less.

Great seafood restaurants if you like to eat your way through a visit. Katies Seafood down by the cruise port has the freshest Red Snapper ever plus you have the try the Snapper Wings as an appetizer. Unique to Katies. Riondo's Ristorante was outstanding for lunch and if we were staying another night, we would have gone back for dinner. Since it was December, it turned chilly but would love to come back in the early spring or fall after all the summer crowds are gone to enjoy the island.

We visit often LOVE the strand, great shopping food and a new wine tasting bar! Seawall best western plus is AMAZING! Clean comfortable and priced great we had a balcony room. Staff was very pleasant. The price of fishing off the pier is a bit high and there should be a noise ordinance so no one gets stuck listening to crappy music. Gaidos restaurant is an upscale experience perfect for a classy white cloth meal. Fabulous food worth every penny! There are plenty of lower priced choices as well. Salsa has really good Mexican food but need to ask for their special ATOMIC sauce!! The chips and salsa were great BUT DONT EXPECT ANY GOOD WINE! The Walmart and a Kroger is right off the seaway for last minute items forgotten. We really enjoy the pleasure pier. It too can be pricey. And make sure to visit the Ice sculptures during winter and tropical rain forest.

The weather could have been more cooperative! Lol!

The weather could have been more cooperative! Lol! No, it was a little windy and cold some of the time; but we just bundled up and enjoyed it. We went to the Strand and enjoyed coffee and shopping there. Ate at Saltgrass which is always good! Shopped at Kroger since it was Thanksgiving (it was a madhouse) but got everything that we needed for Thanksgiving. First Thanksgiving that we did at the beach and it was very nice. Mostly just sat out on the balcony and talked. We enjoyed the view and the convenience of being right on the beach! I loved waking up to the sunrise and walking the beach with my pup! He enjoyed it too!

Beautiful historical buildings, great selection of restaurant, cafes, bars and shops. Lots of history, a great place to stay for a few days or prior to joining a cruise. I only stayed 1 night and would staff for 2 or even 3 in future. Felt very safe walking around on my own during the day.

A fabulous apartment, right on the beach, opposite a pier with a great little bar. What's not to like? There's also a good sized supermarket within walking distance that stocks everything you'll need. The host is great, the apartment was very clean and comfortable. The pool looks lovely but I didn't get a chance to use it. I love the fact that you can walk for miles along the beach and it's surprisingly quiet. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Galveston.
