We loved the comfortable beds and pillows.

We loved the comfortable beds and pillows. The staff could be more welcoming and smile or acknowledge that you are there. We would walk out and they wouldn't say good morning or look up. They would just continue to have their heads down. Room 128 in Marina CA hand a small water leak by the tub with rust and holes in it, the smoke detector was wrapped in plastic bag (liability, if something was to happen) the plastic curtains had holes in it, we had to used a hair clip to keep them closed and before putting the clip the previous travelers put band-aids to cover the holes which they were still hanging on the curtains when we got there. Comfort Inn could be a great place to stay if, there is someone checking the rooms after they are cleaned to make sure it meet to Comfort Inn expectations. I think we would pay extra at another hotel to get the cleanliness. My daughter booked this for us, we normally stay at the Holiday Inn.

Hot breakfast was great...bacon, eggs, sausage, hot oatmeal, cereal, make your own waffle with whip cream and various syrup, etc. Wish there's more variety of fruit juice, but overall, very good breakfast. The room is spacious and adequately equipped with a full frig, a dishwasher, sink, and all cookware to microwave your food. Feel very comfortable!

There is a great Pupusaria (El Salvadoreno) close by on Del Monte Blvd. In addition to great Pupusas, they have awesome soups on the weekends! Trader Joe’s and a new movie theater at Imjin Ave. exit.

Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey.

Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey. With CSUMB right there, there are a number of stores and restaurants typical of a college town. Monterey is just a short drive away but Marina is quiet without the hustle and crowds. Daddy's City Diner is a great place to start your day with a hearty breakfast! Stop by Baker's Bacon for some fresh, tasty bacon, sausage and cheese. Take some candied bacon with you for a wonderful snack.

Beautiful location, the hotel needs bathroom upgrade and would be nice to have hot tub filled instead of empty with outside lounge would have been nice.... Room was simply for sleeping and showering.... No seating area which kept us out to enjoy nature.. MARINA downtown is fun. REVIVAL ICE CREAM is a must have and the arcade next door was fun.

This was just a one night stay during a road trip on the California coast. This area is beautiful with many attractions, including nearby beaches, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the town of Carmel. The hotel is clean, the mattresses very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a mini refrigerator and a coffee pot in the room.

The hotel is in great location, close to many shops and restaurants and to Monterey. It has free hot drinks in the reception and all the basic facilities in the room. The rooms are not small, we were in 5 people and it was still very comfortable stay for us. It was also clean and well maintained.
