Featuring a bar and a terrace, The Hotel Northampton is located in Northampton and is a 9-minute walk from Smith College. The atmosphere was so pleasant and restful for me. I was able have great meals and spend time in the front porch reading and reflecting. In the a wonderful experience.
Located in Northampton and within 2.7 miles of Smith College, North King Motel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The property has a 24-hour front desk and room service for guests. The room was nice and clean, I had a good night sleep all was quiet. I loved the location and was easy to find.
Just off Interstate 91 and close to area points of interest, including Amherst College, this hotel offers comfortable guest accommodations and many free amenities, including wireless internet access. Bed super comfortable. I have stayed there probably half a dozen times. Always pleased. The deal on this room was exceptional. My husband used the business center as did I.
Located near Interstate 91, this Holyoke hotel offers free WiFi and rooms equipped with cable TV. Holyoke Country Club is adjacent to the property and Smith College is 4 mi away. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious (loved the unexpected chickpea salad as part of the choices), the room was clean and well accommodated. Really great value.
Located just off of Interstate 91 in Hatsfield, Massachusetts, Scottish Inns is within 20 minutes’ drive of Amherst College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Free WiFi access is... Been going here every few months. It's a good place to stay for a night or two
It is hard to review since we were only there overnight. We enjoyed the restaurant where we ate but took a cab there and back so didn't get to see much of downtown. Downtown seemed very nice and I wish we had had more time to explore, but we had to leave right away in the morning.
The shops on main st are great , lots of great coffee shops and places to eat. There's a lot to do in the area . I must say that getting around Northampton is very very easy and parking is cheap , people are extremely nice driving, I was shocked lol The 1 complaint i have and kind of ruined the vibe was the amount of panhandlers and groups of young bums in front of almost every store, but other than that the place is great!
It was great! It is very LGBT friendly! I loved all the bookstores. The food was amazing! Paul & Elizabeth's is a must go to. The staff there is amazing. Green Bean and Haymarket Cafe are both excellent choices. There are a ton of vegan options. My friend was vegan and she was able to find actual food geared toward vegans. It was a comfortable walking area too, not too hilly, but not boring, but that might also be because of the amount of shops in the area. We went to a body-positive burlesque show, but they also have drag shows hosted by House of Hors. I would recommend it highly. It was such a great experience that I want to go with my husband and another couple and one of my other friends as soon as I can.
Lots of culturally diverse places to eat, hear music, have a cocktail or a coffee, several small bookstores! Great shopping too. And cafes. Of course Herrell’s Ice cream is amazing as always , and the new renovation is fabulous. Lovely New England college town with all kinds of people and lots of culture. Paul and Elizabeth’s restaurant in Thornes Marketplace is excellent and is a town icon and success story! Northampton brewery is also excellent..top quality pub food and beer in an exciting, vibrant atmosphere. Very cool modern building, lots of glass, and copper covered tables. I was here to meet Friends for the Spring bulb show at Smith College, which is also highly recommended, in the beginning of March!
Love Smith College botanical garden, and the Iron Horse Music Venue. Wanted to go toSylvesters but they close at 3pm. Northampton is a fun college town. A lot of traffic and parking is difficult to find especially in the winter. People were friendly and we had a good time.
Northampton is a bustling college town with lots of artsy shops and a variety of restaurants, so its fun to just walk around and explore. Jakes is a great stop for breakfast and lunch and is right across from the beautiful and historic Hotel Northampton. Also across from the Hotel is AtoZ, an amazing toy store for all ages to check out. My favorite thing to do with my husband is a totally indulgent hot tub and couples massage at East Heaven; the therapists there have wonderful hands! And always catch a show at the Iron Horse; it's an intimate venue where talking with the performers before and after the show is a given.
