Just off Interstate 91 and close to area points of interest, including Amherst College, this hotel offers comfortable guest accommodations and many free amenities, including wireless internet access. Ariana and Brandon were super good, but in general the front desk, cleaning and kitchen staff were all very nice. Thanks so much
Amherst Amtrak and the University of Massachusetts are a 10-minute drive from this motel. It features an outdoor pool with a sun deck and offers cable TV with HBO in every room. No problems at all, very helpful staff, easy transaction. I had just dyed my hair so some of the red got on the pillow cases and towels, I alerted one of the staff members who told me there wasn’t a problem.

This was a horrible hotel was not clean also ,horrible bagged breakfast no choice at all. Room was not what we asked for. Disabled rm with 2 beds. Not sure who was responsible for that. Many things were broken, like ice machine and REFRIGERATOR!! And POOL that we asked about specifically was NOT EVEN FILLED! We ARE NOT HAPPY WITH this hotel or our STAY THERE!
Northampton is a very lively old New England town with a lovely downtown full of shops and restaurants. There is a really cool bar called the Tunnel Bar that specializes in martinis. It's set inside an old train tunnel. Well worth a visit. There is also a brewery right around the corner too. Northampton is very easy to stroll around and we felt safe on the 15 minute walk back to our hotel. The Academy of Music is a grand old theater that was the reason for our visit; we saw Jesse Cooke perform and it was a great show! One caveat about Northampton; there are quite a few "homeless" folks panhandling on the streets, which is kind of sad. All in all it's a great place to visit!
Used to live there for 20+ years and loved coming back for a regional ski show event at the Oxbow. Had dinner at Paul & Elizabeth’s Saturday night and brunch on Sunday at Sylvester’s. Sidewalk sales in progress. What could be better?!
We had been to Northampton about 20 years ago and enjoyed the college-town vibe. Of course, I don't remember seeing as many "folks who dwell on-the-street" in the past. Kinda' surprising for a small city/town.
There are a multitude of restaurants, arts and crafts offerings, and historical markers to spend time with. I recommend the Michelson Gallery for its large selection of originals and prints of children's book illustrations. Hungry for natural food and have a car? Check out the River Valley Co-op--grocery and deli.
Such a sweet little town. Highly recommended walking through Thornes market, going to Herrell’s and Faces, grabbing a coffee at Woodstar, and eating dinner at the Northampton Brewery. Also, Sylvester’s is perfect for brunch.

Never saw the staff, but then again social distancing is still going on.
