Visited the Heard Museum and the Phoenix Art Museum which are an easy short ride through downtown on the light rail. Go to the Heard first and have lunch at the café, until the Art Museum has their food concession up and going again. The Heard Museum has a newly renovated spectacular store for quality Native American art.

I don't care to bring my family for another visit.
I don't care to bring my family for another visit. The freeway sucks drivers are mad crazy driving so fast and crazy not signaling just cutting people off. I avoided the freeway at all cost. The AZ State Fair was cheap. I mean cheap by everything was way over priced and was still charged tax. The ride pass are a joke! You have to buy a $30 "fast pass" which only allows you to get in front of the line but still have to purchase tickets to ride the rides. Also you have to purchase tickets to play games. I am glad we got in for free. I would have been more upset if I had to pay $15 per person for a family of 6 just to get in.
Thank goodness we didn't have to pay! Because of our Hotel cancelling our stay at the very last minute we were strapped for cash and was dipping into our gas money for the drive back home which was 7hrs away. So our experience was very limited. Driving around town certain parts smelled like sewer water. Just not at all sold on the Hype about Phoenix. We live in Albuquerque, NM. You thought Albuquerque was bad, nope, Phoenix definitely took the cake on that one. Makes Albuquerque look like total bliss. The homeless are very daring and will step into your face and be very demanding. There was this incident where one was trying to start a confrontation with my friend. So no thank you Phoenix I realize now that you are and always will be a Drive-Thru state. Not a great experience at all.

Phoenix is crowded with tickytac mcmansions and crazy drivers. Every block looks the same..same gas stations same Arby's, same ole same ole. You could close your eyes and be transported any where in the city and not tell any difference. No character.

I was here for a night, just to get an early AM flight. Maria's Frybread & Mexican Food was fantastic (seriously, 10/10). I would go back to this 116 degree furnace of a city just for those tacos.

We stayed 2 nights in a hotel in Glendale outside downtown Phoenix. We travelled into Scottsdale and Phoenix. We actually took the bus into downtown and it was an excellent service. We visited the State Capitol and walked back to downtown which was fairly easy. Lots of great architecture throughout, sports stadiums and very easy to navigate streets.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Phoenix
This hotel is fine for passing through Phoenix or if you are out all day and just need a place to sleep. There is nothing else in the area except for other hotels and fast food, so it's just a place to sleep in my opinion. The guests/people who are hanging around there are a little questionable, but other than a drab all-male all-worker type atmosphere, there was nothing out of the ordinary at the hotel.
Conveniently located (15 minute walk from the MetroRail station) and reasonably priced hotel close to downtown Phoenix. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the beds are comfortable, and the complementary breakfast is very good.
Location was close to airport but far away from downtown.Hotel was clean, upgraded room which was specious and nice..but breakfast could be better.
Overall nice stay.
