What an awesome find. Was looking for something different and this fit the bill. Lots of history and a wonderful tour with Michael. He is an amazing story teller. Loved hearing the history. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view of Pittsburgh. Lovely courtyard area and the parking was easy. Also a great little bar where Michael makes the BEST cocktails. Best chocolate espresso martini I have had. Great continental breakfast included. Order at night, pick up in the morning. Great find, totally recommend.

Our room was VERY clean and the staff was wonderful. Parking was super easy to access and the hotel is in perfect walking distance to shops, stage AE and restaurants. Will likely be back again, they made our stay after a long travel day from Maine.. wonderful!

First time in Pittsburg! we didn’t know the lay of the land or how much traffic there would be! we opted to stay here because it was “outside of the city” on Google maps and we assumed it’d be 15 min away from downtown which we were okay with! IT IS ONLY 6 MINUTES from downtown. No traffic even during rush hour times (calculating from 3pm-6pm because we’re from Toronto). Staff was amazing from check-in the gentleman asked if I preferred lower or higher floors (which is rare) I opted for higher to which he responded we might be able to catch a city view… 819 was our room I think … we seen the building! Amenities from Dove which I’d never seen before plus also tons of product, towels, and space! (granted we had a double Queen) We ran into time trouble the day of check-out and requested an additional hour before we had to leave which was graciously appreciated.

    There is a lot to do there, especially for families and kids. There are several excellent museams, including a children's museum. There are often different festivals to enjoy, nature parks, and the rivers. There are many dinning opportunities from small businesses, not just chain restaurants.

    The traffic was horrendous and the road signs were terrible.

    The traffic was horrendous and the road signs were terrible. My Google Maps voice might tell me to stay on a road for 3 miles, then I'd look up and see that I was in an Exit Only lane and couldn't move over due to fast traffic. I'd love to go back and visit again, but I think I'll book close to the city center next time, to avoid having to drive in that mess.

    Pittsburgh won’t be one of those places people would choose...

    Pittsburgh won’t be one of those places people would choose to visit without a specific purpose but please think again. The place has a city appeal but with a more intimate and friendly vibe. Lots of chic shopping areas, coffee shops and interesting sights, museums and visitor spots! At the confluence of three rivers thermos a wealth of history combined with modern buildings. The city has more bridges than Venice and the walls along the river are beautiful.

    Be sure to walk along the riverfronts, maybe not alone after dark. Pittsburgh is a very walkable city if you're in relatively good shape. Take the incline(s) up to Mount Washington for views of the city. Then walk across the Roberto Clemente bridge toward PNC Park for more great views. We enjoyed Max's Allegheny Tavern on the North Shore for German food. The Warren Bar and Burrow is a hole in the wall place with great drinks and pub food, and pleasant staff.

    The people in Pittsburgh were friendly, unassuming, and positive. The arts and sports scenes were great. The museums, botanical gardens, theaters, and universities make it a wonderfully interesting city. The old ethnic neighborhoods with wonderful architecture and restaurants were fun.

    The market district is a lot of fun, especially on game days. Lots of sidewalk bars to grab a drink and the food.....the food is sooooo good. If your at a game cross a big yellow bridge and go one block and head left! Good town to walk if you like to walk!

    Free parking and comfy couch in the room (our reasons for selecting this hotel); free coffee and fruit in the lobby; comfy bed; consistent water pressure and temp in the shower; quiet room, couldn't hear any talking/tv from neighboring rooms; good location, 10 min walk east to the Strip District and 10 min walk west to downtown and PNC Park. Our room (suite 500) had exceptionally rare duel aspect windows, so great view. Breakfast food options were typical but fresh and tasty.

    The hotel management and customer support were very efficient in quickly finding solutions to any issues related to accommodation. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were generally clean, and the kitchen had enough equipment for cooking. If something was missing, you could request it, and they would provide it. The building's location was very central, allowing you to explore downtown on foot and easily find a bus to other places.

Also have a covered outdoor pool which includes towels as well. Hotel also breakfast on a grab and go system, breakfast bag includes a muffin, an apple, orange/ apple juice and a bottle water. There is also a coffee / tea area in the lobby.
