Richfield
Located in Richfield, Utah, 23 mi miles from Fremont Indian State Park and Museum, this motel offers air-conditioned accommodations. Free Wi-Fi is included in all guest rooms. Our room was very clean. The description we got gave only free wifi and a coffee maker as the aminites, but the room had a microwave and small refrigerator as well. It also said that there was no breakfast included but there was bread and a toaster and milk. Granted a very light breakfast but there was something. The people we very nice and helpful in answering questions about the area. We would stay there again. For the price we were expecting something far less attractive. We were very pleasantly surprised!!! Thank you to all that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Richfield is the biggest town around this part of Utah if you need supplies for exploring or just a place to recoup from camping. It is big enough to have a Walmart but has other local alternatives if you prefer. Lin's supermarket is a large, modern, well stocked store that reminds me of Raily's or Safeway back home in California. There is an Ace Hardware and several auto parts stores and plenty of restaurants both fast and slow. The gas is cheap,, around $2,22 per gallon as of September 27, 2020, and the town is very easy to navigate. One of the best things about Richfield is it's location. It is just a few hours drive or less from the most beautiful and spectacular scenery in central and southern Utah. Also, like most of Utah, the people here are genuinely friendly and helpful.
What we liked the least: There is not a lot to do in Richfield. Very few restaurants and not much of anything else. What we liked the most: Trona Pinnacles is a must see! Fossil Falls is very interesting and worth seeing.
Two interesting things to see...The Fremont Indian State Park and Museum with exhibits about the people that left rock art (petroglyphs) here from a thousand years ago and a forest of aspen trees that is over a thousand years old. The present trees may be up to 130 years old but the forest is a clone of a forest from up to a thousand years ago. Supposed to be spectacular in the fall. I hope to come back to see both. Too hot for tramping around now in July!
Richfield is a nice little town that has many fine amenities. Housing is rather expensive for what you get. Food places are nice, clean and friendly. Overall, it is nice town with all kinds of recreation available.
We picked a great time of the year to visit. Fall colors were out, beautiful. Also Richfield is wonderful for us. We have side by sides and this town is so welcoming of ATV riding. We love that. Have it well marked where we can and can't go. Great place for trail riding. Thank You
Only stayed the night, so really didn't experience the community at all. However, it's in a gorgeous part of the country with beautiful scenery all around. Seemed to have a low key pace....the kind I prefer.
