The location was excellent. Right across the street from the beach, about a mile east of State St in a quiet area. Next door to the Santa Barbara inn. The room was beautiful, the ocean view location on third floor with the balcony was great. The room clean, comfortable, and attractive. The dinner at Connivo was exceptional. Every staff friendly and helpful with a focus on meeting our needs and being helpful.. For example, we wanted to walk close by for Mexican food, staffs provided us with directions and landmarks to watch for as we walked. We also enjoyed being close to the soccer field and park, and enjoyed the Saturday games from the balcony and people walking, biking, or runny by, often with a dog. We had a lot of fun doing that.
Hotel Santa Barbara is waiting for you in the heart of downtown where warm hospitality meets rich history.

We loved the staff, everyone made us feel so welcome and celebrated. We stayed one night to celebrate our wedding and the staff left us a sweet congratulatory card and bottle of wine to celebrate in our room. The room is very large and spacious. Very comfortable bed and comfortable bedding. We stayed on a newly renovated floor and really enjoyed the hydration station. We will absolutely return in the future.

The hotel was a little dated but we expected that. The beds were comfortable and the location was nice. We had a broken air conditioner that the hotel didn’t fix but they comped us the resort fee and a few nights of parking. There is no free parking onsite and valet is $40/day. The staff are nice. It’s about a mile walk to funk zone but there are complimentary bikes for 3 hours or e bikes to rent close by.

For the most part, all was great. We were planning on using the sofa bed but both the sofa bed and the chair in the room were very dirty. (Something "crusty" was on the fabric). We ended up having six people sleep in two beds. That was the worst part of our stay. Other than that, the breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and we loved the hot chocolate before bed.

Santa Barbara is a lovely place to visit - there's not a huge amount going on, but that's the way we liked it. We ate really good food, drank REALLY good wine and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Everyone we met was lovely and we highly recommend visiting to anyone :-D

We were there on a Saturday night. Very busy in the CBD.
We were there on a Saturday night. Very busy in the CBD. Difficult to get a parking space. Difficult to get a table at a restaurant- had to wait. Lots of homeless people along the beach front, so didn’t feel safe to walk to town at night. Lovely location between the mountains and the sea. Would have liked a little more time to check out the shops and the beach during the day.

Santa Barbara is one of the most charming cities in California that I've been to. When here, make sure you check out the Farmers Market. They just recently moved it, as of end of September. Make sure you ask the locals. If you are a wine drinker, make sure to get over to Los Olivos, which is only a 40 minute drive over the mountains. Make sure to check out Solvang too.
Don't leave Santa Barbara without going whale watching. Be sure to check the schedules to confirm whale watching season.
If you are an architecture buff, your going to love all the spanish style homes and buildings in the area.

A very beautiful Spanish Colonial city. Also very expensive.
A very beautiful Spanish Colonial city. Also very expensive. I would recommend it for a honeymoon or couples. It is called the Riviera of America because of its beauty. Mountains, beaches, and hillside estates. The weather is generally good all year round. Montecito is where the Uber wealthy live. You cannot see the estates, and the beaches are private. If you like a good steakhouse, try Lucky’s in Montecito. The atmosphere and food are great. Also, a pleasant shopping surprise is the sweet village of Summerland, a 10 minute drive from Santa Barbara.

The beaches in Santa Barbara were Beautiful, the area felt safe, there was a variety of attractions to do, and see, you never got bored. There were various Restaurants to choose from, a lot on State Street. Everything was close and covenient, except parking, parking on streets, always seemed to be full. Had to use Parking Garages, which add up after a while. As for Shopping, State Street had many shops, and even shops on the side streets.

his hotel is in a great location - dead centre of Santa Barbara - lovely older style property in great condition and in keeping with the neighbourhood - bars, shops and restaurants all within a minute from the front door of the hotel - staff really friendly as well. Would recommend
Hotel was in a lovely location, about 1 block from the oceanfront / beaches. It was also very close and walkable to all downtown areas and was in a very safe neighbourhood. The room was not massive but it was lovely and very clean. Highly recommended.
The cozy hotel is located in a convenient location near the beach, but a little further from the center. After 11 pm they lock the door to the building, so it's safe. The staff are friendly and pleasant.
