Springdale is stunning!!!! I highly recommend Springdale and Zion National Park if you are looking for appreciating nature. I was also so surprised to see how the stores and restaurants do not price gouge.
Springdale is a perfect place to stay when visiting Zion's National Park. There are free shuttle busses that pick you up all along the Main Street in Springdale and take you to Zion's. Springdale is surrounded by the same towering red mesas that make up Zions, so it feels like you are right in the park. We drove to a grocery store about 20 minutes away to stock up our kitchenette with things we could pack for lunch and easy prep meals for breakfast and dinner.
I expected a tacky tourist town and ended up in a Vail clone. The city has done a great job with limiting sprawl and ugly signage/architecture. The effect was extremely pleasing. And I greatly appreciate the free town shuttle that gets you to the park. However, the prices for everything were Vail prices--way overpriced to take advantage of trapped tourists. It's really a cartel--no one wants to give you a price break when it comes to food or lodging. If you really want reasonable prices, you'll need to stay farther away from Zion.
Shuttle made getting around super easy. The best burger I ever ate at zion brew pub right outside entrance to park. Zion outfitters made renting dry suit for the narrows very convenient. And happy camper store had absolutely everything you could need for your trip
It’s a great little town and the best option for seeing Zion. The town is small enough to be very conducive to a lot of walking. We have stayed a few times before, and will return again. The shuttle within the town is great and connects to the awesome shuttle within the park... all FREE! There are a lot of great eateries... this trip, Oscar’s Cafe was our favorite and the new Bumbleberry Bakery for terrific pie and a great selection of ice creams! The Sol Market has possibly everything you could ever need and then some! Next time we will remember to book our stay a lot sooner...
I loved Springdale, it was absolutely lovely and a great place to stay for visiting Zion National Park. I stayed three nights. The shuttles to/from the park and also inside of the park are great and really well organised. I did the Emerald Pool hike and also The Narrows which was incredible and such a unique experience. If hiking The Narrows you can hire the waders etc at the entrance of the park, it was around $60 per person. They also have lockers and waterproof bags. I was travelling alone and it was a great experience. It is a walkable place and I had really good food at Oscars, the food at Bit and Spur was good too.
Springdale
it is well located in Springdale and there is a local shuttle up and down the locale. it will also take you to the NP entrance for their shuttle thru the park. the room had a microwave, fridge and TV ( nothing worthy to watch!). bathtub. the local supermarket Sol Is quite good with excellent bakery items - lots of people also ordered takeaway meals there.
Breakfast was simple. At a Quality inn near Bryce Canyon we had a very good hot breakfast. Lodging was $136 per night with tax included. Zion was $736 tax included for 2 nights. The price wasn’t justified although it was competitive for Zion/Springdale.
The location was great - next to the beautiful hills and a short walk from ebike retailers and the rest of Springdale. Parking is free and the rooms are generously sized and comfy. There’s also a shuttle you can take from the hotel into Zion National Park.
Very quiet. Great patio with heaters and hot tub and pool. Easy access to Zion and walking into Springdale. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I’d come back to this hotel again and would highly recommend.

Ideal location for Springdale & Zion NP shuttles. Left car at hotel to see all the sights. An easy walk to/from various dinner options and shopping. Hearty breakfast included in rate.
Springdale
the hotel is in the heart of Springdale, so we could walk to everything in town. The hotel has a rustic timber lodge feel. Our room wasn’t huge, but it was clean and comortable.
Beautiful location in Springdale. Shuttle to ZION and other spots in town stops right in front of the hotel. The restuarant for breakfast was excellent.
