It was a good location in proximity to the interstate, distance to Mothers house and restaurants. Pretty grounds and hotel, great breakfast and huge pool. I loved the printed window shades with trees on them and the blackout shade behind it for sleeping. The only drawback was the sliding bathroom doors that should’ve been just regular doors so could shut them and have complete privacy. The doors are on these decorative brackets but they are not the most functional. We had adjoining rooms with Sons family, but quickly changed due to the noise factor. All in all it’s a great place and the staff are very accommodating! Lastly, there is a Dunkin Donuts right across the street if you want their coffee, donuts, muffins or breakfast sandwich!
Just a convenient place to be .... We were visiting a college campus .... went to MGM for alittle bit. RedRose Pizza is the place to go to eat !!!! be prepared to stand in line. Well worth it though. Overall, HolidayInn Express downtown is THE place we will stay at every time we are in Springfield.
There is no way that the Wyndham associates itself with this hotel. The whole hotel smelled like marijuana, it was dirty and very disappointing. The area was shady and not very well lit when coming home at night.
This is my hometown - make sure you see the museums at the Quadrangle, particularly the George Walter Vincent Smith (I hope I got that right!). Make sure to eat at the Fort/Student Prince on Fort St. Red Rose is great for Italian food. Check out Forest Park and if it is holiday time, see BrightNights there. Of course, Basketball Hall of Fame is a must. And Frigo's is a treat - bring home their homemade bread crumbs!
The. Price was good but like most things you get what you pay for. I sell mattresses for a living and I can tell you that the mattress and pillows were terrible and neither of us got a good nights sleep
I stayed for two nights on personal business. Cost $247.00 dollars. 8 floor over looking highway. Sunday into Tuesday morning but ended up leaving into the second night due to the Coronavirus and everything closed. Mgm was closed. Along with most shops and stores. Because hotels indoor pool, restraunt and bar lodge was closed. I ended up going out to On the Boarder over in West Springfield for a take out meal. Hotel should have giving out a restaurant voucher to eat. Very poorly done by hotel.
Since relocating outside of western MA, away from my business, I’ve had to make several trips back - staying at several hotels. This by FAR is my FAVORITE! The aesthetics, the location, I love how it’s tucked away and quiet. My view of this little pond area is adorable. The blinds!!!!!! They’re a whole vibe in themselves. This is the best quality, best location and best vibe that I’ve found in a hotel in the greater springfield area with the absolute best value
arrived at HJ in springfield, MA at 0230 in the morning after driving 800 miles..tired cold..staff person checked me in, gave me wifi access code..room was suprise...warm, clean, quiet...HJ in springfield is old style of motel, separate units. HJ was close to my destination, close to shopping, especially to seafood restaurants..
Very Disappointing that all restaurantes were closed Monday and Tuesday. I understood that there were some places to eat 24 hours, the fact they were closed due to COVID, was not mentioned, until we arrived. I chose this hotel, precisely because we needed a place where we could eat late as we were there for working purposes.
The location/neighborhood was not good. People hanging around outside asking for entry into the hotel and money, and also people just sitting around by the parking (not guests). Parking wasn’t well lit or secure. Very friendly employees but wouldn’t stay there again due to the area.
Location access was good, but required knowledge of area or particularly good GPS to not miss driveway into motel. This is because of the way highway there is configured. Not fault of motel. Most staff were great. Room was clean. Things worked.
Breakfast buffet wasn't as good as the individual menu we had last time we stayed 7/18/21. I wish you could have "real eggs" on the buffet and a way to warm the muffins. Love how quiet the hotel is, very responsive staff.
Very dirty , and the entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke , very disappointed and have paid a cheap price at other hotels that were much better
The entire hotel was completely spotless, every time I turned around floors were being moped, elevators wiped down.. so very clean!
Hotel was very clean, a little noisy from neighboring room but not unbearable. Beds & pillows are so comfy.
Location was perfect for getting to all the attractions in Springfield

My wife and I stayed at Naomi’s on our wedding night and it was a great experience. I had asked the staff to do a little something special to the room and they went above and beyond to make our night perfect.
