We were fortunate in that the legislature was in session during our visit. We were able to access both House and Senate viewing galleries! Cafeteria in State House basement offered a delicious salad bar at reasonable cost at lunchtime. Park Avenue between Adams and Calhoun is magical at night with white lights strung in the majestic live oak trees and Spainish moss hanging in ghostly strings from all the branches.
Has at least two great golf courses open to the public at great prices. Played Southwood this trip and Hilaman last time. Hilaman is owned and run by the city, $10 to walk and $20 to ride. What a deal
Tallahassee has a nice soccer facility for tournament play. There are tons of restaurants to go to. Generally the people in Tallahassee are friendly. Driving around town is very easy. Make sure you pay attention to the side streets that have the same names on mapquest. A lot of businesses and restaurants are located on the side roads.
Nice people. Very friendly. Plenty to do. The museums are great. Starbucks close to the Capitol was great- pleasant staff and clean location. The Batural Florida History Museum was amazing. So much history and nice staff. The trolley is great to get around but you can also walk.

“cheap price”
“Excellent HOT breakfast. Rooms well-appointed. Extremely clean well-manicured grounds. Friendly staff. Nice, peaceful, clean, jewel tucked away in downtown Tallahassee. And they have smoking rooms which is becoming very rare.”
