We were exclusively on the campus of Assumption College for a conference. Can't comment about any other parts but I do know that there are good entertainment venues and museums there that would be attractive. It's a city so you have to navigate traffic. Signage is decent and the city is not too complicated either.
Hotel was the dirtiest and smelliest I have ever been in. I can not believe Quality Inn has its name associated with such a horrible place. I will never stay at a Quality Inn again. I think this hotel should be inspected I am sure it would be shut down.
Worcester is an odd city of steep hills, lots of college kids, terrible traffic, poor housing choices and bad weather. It has some very good restaurants, including Lock 50, which serves an interesting variety of "small plates" and has a friendly waitstaff. It also has a wonderful museum, The EcoTarium, which everyone should visit.
We ate at some great restaurants: Mare e Monti for dinner and Livia's Diner (not sure that is the right name) for brunch the next morning. Both were exceptional in terms of both food and service. We went to the Worcester Art Museum and listened to two docents give tours. Went to the movies at a cineplex where one can get a beer or a drink to take in to the theater (!! my first such experience). The next day we hiked at Moore State Park, which was lovely. Worcester is easy to get around in with GPS.
I appreciated the use of the lobby and how comfortable it was. I also was happy that there was an exercise room. Our room was also very comfortable and spacious. ehat to improve: the temperature of the workout room was very warm
Culturally, Worcester has much to offer. The restaurants are great and varied, and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Also, check out what is happening at the DCU Center when you are in town.
The staff was very informative and kind throughout the whole process. My friends and i were celebrating a birthday and it was such a fun time! Even when we got a little loud, they were very sweet about it. Gorgeous bathroom and room/hotel overall. Would definitely stay again!
Quiet and clean room in an old hotel setting. Parking was right across the street and we were given a special ticket that allowed us to leave and return.
