The cottage was very big, new and comfortable. Great value for money! The food provided at the restaurant was amazing with freshly baked bread and banana loaf which were incredible. I've been to just about every game reserve in the county, Botswana, Namibia and have never seen an elephant sighting like we saw this morning - at least 100 elies at and near the waterhole drinking and frolicking. lots of babies. Absolutely amazing.
There is no real town as such, it is a citrus farming community, but the farms are next door to one another. The location is ideal for a visit to the Addo Elephant Park which also has onsite accommodation. The Cattle Baron is a must visit before or after the game drive. Also available near Happy Lands is the Double Zip Line for the adrenalin rush!!!
Easy to navigate, but unable to find a spot at the picnic spot. Very busy😐 Roads kept in a good condition, including honorary rangers doing their part👍 Road from Patterson is beyond horrendous, so will avoid next time, although more convenient
Addo is one of the Parks we have visited now 4 times. We find it one of the parks that is easy to drive around and see game at your pace, The visits we do are during quiet times so the park is virtually your own. We tend to try & take food into the park to have a picnic as we find the Cattle Baron expensive. One thing we do find is that it is very expensive for tourists from other countries. We would probably spend more time in the park if it was cheaper.
We did a night game drive and a whole day game drive. Both were brilliant and the guides are so knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. We did feel the whole day game drive was a little too long as we had seen most wildlife by about 2.30pm, however we had a great group and were really entertained
We stayed at Nyathi which is in a large section of the park only accessible to those staying overnight. Accommodation was fantastic and well worth it. Each villa has stunning views and its own pool, deck and braai facilities

Sam, the guide was great. The shared facilities are wonderful. Veranda with fireplace used for both nights. Room small but everything new and well appointed. Great value. You see animals you don’t see in Addo so definitely worth the short drive from the main road.

The place is just amazing and situated perfectly. Not too far from Addo elephant park. The bungalows are very spacious and the interior is also modern. It has got everything you need inside. The little zoo you have is just great. Will definitely be coming back.
The guest houses are located in a beautiful, large garden. Addo elephant park main gate can be reached in about 15 min drive. We liked the place and would recommend it to everybody who looks for a quiet aside location.
We had an amazing stay at the lodge; warm welcome, beautiful location, great food prepared on site and a warm campfire. Only 15-20 minutes from the West entrance to Addo elephant park. Would recommend to anyone!

Everything - the stay was from beginning to end a wonderful experience. The staff is loaded with great hospitality, all food is very good and the game drives were amazing. Chris took all the time needed to find some beautiful species in the private part of Addo. Because this wasn’t open to regular day visitors, we were literally the only in the field, which gave the whole weekend even a better once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Everything was done superbly well. From the service, to the food, to the decor and creature comforts. Wildlife at the watering hole behind the main house is plentiful - we even saw elephants and rhinos there. The safari tent style rooms are well spaced, oversized and well appointed. Special shout out to the guides that took us out 7-9hrs a day on drives and bush walks. Incredible experience overall.
