Fabulous breakfast cooked by our friendly hosts, and eaten with them. We were attending a concert in nearby Yzerfontein with our almost-grown-up sons and it was a great place to stay overnight.

It was a quiet area, they had great facilities and plenty of blankets / towels / etc. They had some nice tea, coffee and other little things that was hospitable, but I won't spoil it for you. Very nice flat other than the issues I mentioned. Very thoughtful hosts.

We love Darling for the quietness and friendliness.

We love Darling for the quietness and friendliness. There are some lovely restaurants in this quaint little town and beautiful scenic drives nearby. Being just 20 minutes away from the beach in Yzerfontein is a bonus. You can get to experience the sea and mountains in a single day.

I loved the "feel" of Darling, with their big wide roads.

I loved the "feel" of Darling, with their big wide roads. You really felt you were out in the countryside, fresh air & beautiful birdsong....no traffic noise. I found the people very friendly. We went for a wedding on one of the farms & loved every minute of it. We ate at the Marmalade Cat, good food, staff were warm & inviting & the cost was very reasonable. I also bought some beautiful gifts from The Heart of Darling shop, loved wandering around the array of items. We also popped into The Forge, such great ambience, lovely staff. I wanted to go back there but we ran out of time. We have friends in Darling & had a braai with them, so we got to meet some of the locals.... loved it! We'll be back.

Darling is a very nicely situated small town for beach...

Darling is a very nicely situated small town for beach visits and holiday activities, plenty to do and Darling theatre is a super place to visit. Big choice of restaurants and the Smokehouse on the road towards Yzerfontein is a great place. Varied accommodation and a good Spar shop for groceries for 'self caterers' Choice of wine cellars for tasting. It is an area of outstanding beauty.

We visited most of the sites to be seen, cellars with wine...

We visited most of the sites to be seen, cellars with wine tasting, brewery, hairdresser, antique shop where I made the most wonderful purchases, drove to Yzerfontein and thoroughly enjoyed a walk on the beach. Visited all the shops in Darling and had a wonderful time at Evita se peron - what a call back the past experience. I would definitely recommend Darling and the Darling Guest House to any and everyone who has not been there before.

Bookings.com. I felt the price was to high for this house as they owner lives right next to the property whereby you can hear her right next door. no privacy as we felt restricted not to make any noise, very invasive.

Small town with some big hits - Darling Brew Tasteroom, at least 3 fantastic wine farms to visit (Darling Cellars, Groote Post and Ormonde), world class restaurants! We were in Darling for the Vine to Hop Trail race and should have stayed extra nights

The venue is a self-catering venue, which we prefer. The unit has all the required appliances. The furniture and fittings are stunning. The hot tub at night is fantastic with such clear skies and no light pollution. The natural bush at its best There is plenty to visit nearby. Pop into Darling and definitely visit Groote Post Vineyards

Anthea ,our host was very helpful and attentive..She arranged transport for us to Darling cellars. A request for extra blankets was immediately attended to.Safe parking was available. The attention to detail ..anything one could think of was available inside as well as outside the cottage.
