Amazing family room, huge with 3 singles with a room divide and then a super king size bed. Ensuite was a good size and clean. Love the open plan communal space. Kids loved the big sofas, right next to the bar area and the food at breakfast and at dinner was excellent. Staff super friendly and would definately recommend

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Recidence. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The hosts, Diego and Teka went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Every detail—from the fresh linens and flowers to the thoughtful touches—showed how much care the owners put into their guests’ experience. Beautifull gardens. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic and close to local attractions and amenities. What truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. The hosts are kind, attentive, and always ready with great recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, and local experiences. We highly recommend this guesthouse. The family greeted us as soon as we arrived. They helped us check in and get settled before we started our activities for the day. Paul, Nicky, and Bobby went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were also extremely helpful in finding us a driver and recommending great wine farms to visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and experience here. The beds were so comfortable. The bed linen was superb. The towels were new. Sundowner Cottage was so comfortable and had everything you might need and much more.......The outdoor braai shed was so relaxing. Loved all the furnishings too. The apple orchards looked amazing. The owners were so friendly yet unintrusive. We had such an awesome stay. Top notch self-catering stay whilst enjoying private peaceful time on a farm. Very refreshing.I would happily return here for a longer stay.

Stunning and beautiful manor house with perfectly manicured gardens to match. So peaceful, private and secure. The staff are so calm, caring, warm and accommodating. The uninterrupted beautiful views from the veranda were the highlight. Breakfast was as delightful as our stay here. This was not the usual overbooked and crowded hotel that one might make the mistake of booking over festive period. The rooms and interaction with the staff was very personalized. I was sad to leave.

It was clean and neat and bright and shiny. Loved the pool deck area and we were a group of friends so was lovely to spend time together out there. Was comforting to know that the cars were safely parked behind good security.

Elgin Country Lodge was amazing - great location with gorgeous views, incredibly helpful and friendly host, delicious and varied breakfast. We were upgraded to a huge, gorgeous suite with it's own balcony overlooking the orchard. We could have stayed for a month!
