It’s a lovely house and the landlords made the family feel at home the minute we stepped in. Double room for us downstairs and two adjacent bedrooms for our teenage children upstairs. Another couple was staying and we shared the drawing room/bar with them to watch the semi finals of Euro 2024. Very clean and pleasant home, great breakfast, good hiking, a few minutes by car to the beach.

The place was absolutely beautiful, had everything in it could need, on arrival was such a beautiful hamper and little gift for my son so lovely and thoughtful, there is little park for kids no entertainment or anything, will need to drive to get to places or there is bus stop nearby, we had beautiful weekend 😊 thank you so much 😍

They left us a good welcome pack of information, a little box of essentials like washing up liquid etc and even a specific dog towel. Chalet 1 is right by reception with no other chalet looking over it and designated parking very close by. The bedrooms and bathroom were a reasonable size and the kitchen had everything you would need on a holiday. The location felt secluded but was only a short drive from combe Martin. It has a reception, a pub and a laundry, a small park and a dog field but I can't comment on these as we did not use any of them. This was a quiet place suitable for families and those looking for a bit of peace.

    We had a day trip to Lundy booked for the Saturday, then looked for accommodation for the weekend for three couples close to Ilfracombe. We weren't really expecting to find much with just four weeks notice during peak season. Fern Cottage was perfect for our requirements. Spacious living area for six without feeling squashed in.

    Lovely well appointed cottage off the beaten track so wonderfully tranquil. Comfortable beds with good linens, soft towels and plentiful hot water. Dog friendly with a secure garden. We loved it and we’ll be back.
