It was a lovely little garden house next to the main home. I had my own space it in the security of the family compound. The hosts were extremely welcoming and the home cooked dinner was delightful, I highly recommend you eat in. Tulalla is a slow paced village and a welcome escape from bigger busier towns nearby. Great value.

Perfect location. Fully equipped. Even a laundry machine! And as if that is not enough, there is a private pool!! Full kitchen. 2 bedrooms. A rooftop for amazing views of the sunset and beach. Impeccable service. Villa cleaned everyday around your schedule with fresh towels provided. Water bottles every day as well. Amazing location. 2 minute walk to the sand and a 5 minute walk to Smoke and Bitters. 5 minute walk to all the amazing beach front bars and places to eat.

Such a nice place to get to after a long flight. The guy there was after anything we needed and super kind. The pool and decor is gorgeous. The bedrooms were beyond exceptional, with some of the most comfortable pillows and duvet, shower was incredible, aircon and fan was awesome, and welcoming lassies were delicious. The location is great to get to both Dikwella and hiriketiya beach.

In my experience it’s rare to book a place on booking.com that is significantly better than advertised. La Playa Villa is one of those unique spots! It’s hard to describe how magical this property is. The villa itself is more spacious and stunning than the photos on booking.com can capture. The staff and La Playa team are EXCELLENT - super friendly and customer focused. The location of the villa was also perfect. It’s a peaceful oasis nestled between Dickwella and Hiriketiya, so you can easily enjoy both beaches. We are definitely coming back!

I had the pleasure of staying at Thara in Villa in my recently visit in Sri Lanka. I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service I received. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff. Their attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort made my stay truly enjoyable. The hotel itself was a haven of nature lushed greenery and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The food experience at the hotel was equally delightful. The diverse menu showcased the rich flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as international favorites.

My wife and I recently spent two days and one night at this charming property, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The location is truly unbeatable—nestled between the beautiful Hiriketiya and Pehembiya beaches, it offers easy access to both, making it a fantastic base for beach lovers. The accommodation itself exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, which added to our comfort. What really made our stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the caretaker. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel right at home with his friendly demeanour and genuine care for our needs. He was always available to assist us and even provided helpful tips about the local area. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It's a hidden gem for anyone looking to unwind in a serene setting while being close to some of the best beaches in the area. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

    We felt very lucky to be staying in such an idyllic place: the best view, incredibly delicious food and lovely ladies looking after us. We loved waking up at sunrise and going for walks along the beach and having many heavenly swims in the sea.

    Such a wonderful place, at the seaside, cozy rooms with fan, different nice seating places for reading a book. The beach is great to have a morning walk and a swim later. Not crowded, mix tourists and locals, fishing boats… we extended our stay with 2 days. And then we have Milnini and her staff, what a lady and excellent cook, and taking care of everything you need.
