We had a truly wonderful stay at Deri’s apartment in the Douro Valley. From the moment we arrived, Deri and his family welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering local tips, sharing stories, and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. The apartment itself was spotless and cozy. We left with not only great memories of the Douro Valley, but also a deep appreciation for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm place with spectacular view of the Douro Valley

We don’t write many reviews but this place warrants one. If you’re willing to go off the beaten path this is the place. Well above, and overlooking the Douro River, the scenery is lovely. The solitude and silence is welcome if you’re looking to get away from it for a bit. The house has some of the original stone walls and while modernized and very comfortable evokes the origins of this place as an old time farm house. While there are only 2 of us breakfast was enough for about 6 and will make for a nice picnic lunch. A suggestion if you come. Arrive in the daylight, bring food for a picnic type dinner and enjoy it with the bottle of wine from our host Paolo’s vineyard , while taking in the surroundings. Paolo and his family are most gracious and accommodating. This place is a “ Home Run”!!!
