It is a well-appointed and comfortable villa which is cleaned on a daily basis. It is very secure in a gated resort with a reception area. The staff are excellent. A welcome basket, robes and additional pool towels are provided. The location is excellent with a short stroll to the beach and a shop across the road. An excellent restaurant, The Halfway House, is also across the road. The accommodation and service are 5-star and Angeliki and her team ensure that everyone’s stay is thoroughly enjoyed. The villa, the garden, location, service and hospitality has been perfect. We felt welcome and home from the first time we entered. The location is in the middle of a green area on the island and a great base to travel around the island. Small restaurants close by and a 15 min drive from Zakynthos city. For active people there are great areas for hiking or a good walk. The property is well equipped, cosy and clean. The garden is fully closed off by a gate you feel secure and can park your car direct to your villa. Most important are the hosts, they are hard working , friendly and welcoming and makes you want to visit again.

There is a very nice beach right near in 5' walk (not Gerakas), very rocky, very good for snorkeling, with hundreds of various fish, one will never see even when going doing scuba. From the gate take it to the left for 50m, than visavis the 2nd private gate you will see a trail that is not marked but it goes directly to this beach.

Athenea Villas, Private Pools & Gardens is a traditional Ionian-style complex, just 500 metres from the beach. It offers country-style accommodation with free WiFi and views over the Ionian Sea. Usually, we remember our stay by the people and their attitudes. The owner and her son are wonderful people. They were there for us all the time and provided everything we needed. We got much more than just kindness here! The view is wonderful. The pool was used mainly by our two children, while parents had the opportunity to enjoy the nearby special area under the stars, where we were relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view (we used it for some time to ourselves and a glass of champagne:)). I recommend a visit. You will be delighted by it all.

Surrounded by pine and olive trees, a five-minute walk from St. Nicholas Beach, Alegria Villas Complex consists of self-catering houses overlooking the Ionian Sea. Jacuzzi on the balcony, nice (sea)views from every room. Very clean and the house was filled with furniture with character and colour, very much my style, loved it. Nice swimming pool &trees, nice hammocks and the bar is perfect for snacks/breakfast. Really everything you need is there. Lia helped us to rent a scooter, it was all arranged on half an hour, supernice. She also helped us with bus-hours which we couldnt find online.

Exensian Villas & Suites lies just 150 metres from the beach of Marathia. It offers amphitheatrically built villas with private pools with hydromassage. We loved the view, the ambiance, the style, the pool, and the privacy. Host was very helpful, and displayed clear pride of ownership.
