I only stayed for one night while visiting with friends in Shumen, and I wish I could've stayed longer. I really liked how bright the room is - no dark, dirty carpets and heavy, dark furniture. I never really thought about it before, but hotel rooms can be quite dark and depressing. Not this one, though. The woman who checked me in was super friendly and welcoming, and the next day, when I was running late for check-out and called her, she was understanding and waited for me to arrive, even though I'd told her they could go in and start cleaning since my bag was packed and I just needed to pick it up. The bathroom was spacious and the shower seemed new. The bed was pretty comfortable and the entire place was very quiet during my stay, even though the hotel was at capacity. The hotel is close to the central pedestrian street and also not far from the start of the steps that take you to the Founders of the Bulgarian State monument. Would definitely stay here again when I visit my friends in the future!

The house and the garden are wonderful. The hosts – Despina and Todor – are very friendly. Good food at the restaurant (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast). Gooood wine! Parking in front of the house. Take into account Todor's recommendations. Try the Bulgarian breakfast. We are already making plans to visit them again.
