Fantastic historical inn (c. 1770) in a quaint, quiet part of the island. Spectacular location right on the water, with Adirondack chairs for sitting and soaking in the views of the tidal swings. The innkeeper is very particular in keeping the place clean, and the decor is well appointed with original features, updated bathrooms, comfortable beds and quality linens and bath products, and very well maintained. Her homemade breakfasts were stellar - fresh fruit, homemade breads and pastries, and a main egg dish. She is a little gruff but kind, and she offered super advice on where to eat, what to do, where to go in the area.

We came to Baddeck to hike the Cabot Trail. This location was perfect as it is right at the entrance to the park. There are lots of little restaurants all within walking distance. The Inn is very well appointed. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable.

It boasts an indoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi throughout.... Extremely helpful staff - we forgot prescription medication in the fridge and they tracked it down and saved it for us. Very helpful and highly appreciated!

No carpet in the rooms, only under the bed ( this was the best!!!!). Do not remember if they had heated floors but the room was nice and cosy, also had a comfy blanket!
