Clean and large room and bathroom. Efficient A/C. OK-ish breakfast (but same food every day). Parking space easy to find (maybe not in front of the hotel, but you could find one nearby quite easily).

Built of stone, Bastione Malvasia Hotel is situated in the medieval castle of Monemvasia, just 300 metres from the gate. Most probably will come back to Malvasia and if so, stay at the very same place. Perfect breakfast too. Staff is just amazing.

Set amidst lush greenery, at an altitude of 600 metres, the traditionally built Guesthouse Mazaraki is situated close to the picturesque village of Mystras, offering views of the Byzantine castle of... Everything was wonderful - welcoming staff, beautiful location, gorgeous room and delicious breakfast. It’s incredibly quiet and romantic, and luxurious without being fussy.

Set in a mid-19th-century neoclassical house right opposite Kapodistrias Square, the boutique hotel Nafsimedon offers a small garden with palm trees overlooking Kolokotronis Park. Everything was great - the location, the staff friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is old and beautiful, especially the small garden where you have breakfast. It was clean and spacious, comfortable bed with a firm matrass (just how we like it). Checking in and out was smooth, and the breakfast is simple but somehow sufficient.

Beautifully restored Pension Dafni is located in Nafplio’s Old Town, underneath Palamidi Fortress, 200 metres from Arvanitia Beach. Spotly clean, location away from noisy main street, friendly staff, confortable mattress. Very good value for money.

Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia. It was fantastic overall - warm welcome, easy check in - very clean and ideal for our needs. The food there is amazing and I recommend everyone trying the lamb oregano casserole - to do for!

Hotel Europa Olympia is built on the top of Drouvas Hill in Ancient Olympia. Excellent hotel- deep cool pool is a life saver on a very hot day! Restaurant under the olives is simply outstanding and breakfast was fabulous too. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
