This was my second trip to Lake Chuzenji and my second stay at the Little Forest Inn. Last year my stay at the Inn was excellent and this year was equally excellent! I had the same single room as last year with a fantastic view of Lake Chuzenji, a private bathroom, tv, heater etc. Simple but with everything I needed. It was also super clean. The hosts, as always, were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The location of the Little Forest Inn is great, close to the bus, cafes & restaurants, supermarket and Lake Chuzenji itself. I thoroughly enjoyed my second time at Lake Chuzenji and my second stay at the Little Forest Inn. I plan to return again as soon as possible!

Rooms are very big and comfy, onsen is small but very nice to enjoy. Nikko is quiet and calm and so was this location. Breakfast included was the right choice because it‘s hard to find something to eat nearby especially in the morning. Ryokan is amazingly beautiful and futon was adequate.

The staff were friendly and nice. Upon our arrival the host made sure we were well informed about the facilities and gave us a detailed explanation of our accommodation. At breakfast, the service was smooth, and the staff were exceptional. The nature of the town is picturesque, the trails and scenery it has to offer are amongst the best I've ever seen.
