“This apartment is everything you could ask for and more for a short or long term stay. It is beautifully decorated (you can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this home). There is no detail left out, and it is fully stocked with many items you might find yourself needing on your vacation. The owners are so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay in Hallstatt, and staying in this apartment made it even better. The location is perfect, VERY close to the Salt Mine, but off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of the city center which was nice as I am sure during touristy season it's likely packed. If and when we make our way back to Hallstatt we will certainly be staying here again and I would recommend Ferienwohnung Aschauer to anyone!”

“The apartment is not in the central part of town, and I'd originally thought it would be too far from things. Actually, it is about 1/2 mi from the center of Hallstatt, and a 10 min walk from what turned out to be one of the best cafes we visited in Austria. Before arriving, we'd thought that we'd cook breakfast and dinner, but it was so great to get up in the morning, get ready and head out for our walk into town, we never prepared breakfast. We did fix dinner one night, but the food at restaurants in town was so good, that we ate out the other two evenings that we were there. It was a very comfy apartment, two large bedrooms, a nicely equipped kitchen and dining room, with a terrace that both bedrooms and dining room opened onto, 1 large bathroom, and 1/2 bathroom. Our landlady, Frau Gamsjaeger, was very pleasant and helpful to us. We would definitely return to Sumatingerweg.”
