The staff is great, very helpful and kind. The location is perfect, it's quiet and beautiful, there is a wonderful lake just across from the hotel and a wonderful view of the mountains from the 5th floor. There are plenty of shops around. The breakfast included was consistent and delicious. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were nice details all around the hotel, the place was interesting and tastefully decorated. The place for the tea ceremony was also a very special point. I highly recommend the place

It was a perfectly organized stay. We messaged the property via booking.com to get a transfer from train station and tours to Longji rice terraces and Li Cruise organized. Everything was duly noted and executed. We were picked up by the driver at the train station (it was a free pick-up included in the price because we stayed for 3 nights). Next day the driver took us to the docks and handed tickets for the Li Cruise. The other day English-speaking driver Peter picked us up and we drove to the Longji rice terraces. Before going to the terraces we cooked a bamboo rice and visited minority village. Also we had one more free day when we arrived, and the receptionist showed us the points of interest to visit in Guilin (lake with Pagoda twin towers, elephant trunk park, etc.). The staff does not speak any English but we were able to communicate fluently via WeChat (there is a built-in translator there), Google translate and other translator apps. So in general we had no communication issues.

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel features a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 1.2 mi from downtown Guilin.

Staff was extremely attentive. The place was clean and charming with nice views to nearby mountains. We were able to use electric scooters from hotel. The village had several restaurants, a couple street food vendors and a couple small shops. Nearby hiking trail over the mountain was also a nice one.

I had a very comfortable stay. The room is well furnished, and looks clean. The frontdesk is very friendly. It is within a short walking distance from the Elephant Mountain and Sun Moon Tower.

This is a very modern and contemporary boutique hotel in a historic village located in the outskirts of Guilin. The staff, amenities, facility, decor, and food were all impeccable! Everyone was super friendly and went above and beyond to make our trip extra enjoyable and memorable. We can’t wait to return to Guilin again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Guilin without the hustle and bustle of the city life. It’s affordable and easily accessible by taxi to any parts of the city. Also a short walkable distance to the reed flute cave, which is a must visit in Guilin as well.
