We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic property. Location is great, within walking distance to most places within the historic center as well as many restaurants. Rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was also great, and served on their terrace with a view of the Virgin statue. Staff were nice, and helped us to organize taxis when needed. WiFi was also really good. We would have happily stayed here longer, and would stay again!

This small hotel was the absolute highlight of our few days in Quito. The building has been beautifully restored and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. However Mario and his wife are what makes this place so amazing, their hospitality is phenomenal, you feel like guests in their home! Mario made arrangements for our airport transportation, and was waiting at 1am to welcome us and show us our rooms, and was up at 4:45am to say goodbye. They made us a lovely breakfast each morning and were always around in case we had questions or just needed a cup of tea. If you get a chance, ask to see the before photos of the building, it’s an amazing story. Casa El Eden is on a quiet street but in a convenient location- the old town is a 15min walk away, the Basilica is 10 mins away and the free walking tour leaves from a hostel about 5 mins away.
