The property was conveniently located in the center of zone 1 with access to historical attractions, restaurants and museums. The space is clean and modern with new appliances and furniture: refrigerator, table, sofa, cooking accessories, microwave, coffee maker and potable water canister. The bed was firm, yet comfortable and the linens clean and new. There were shelves for storage, extra blankets and a hair dryer and TV. Great WiFi also. The shower had hot water and the entire bathroom had modern fixtures. Access to the apartment and to the host was very easy as was payment. Super job by host Andrea. She was always responsive and helpful and runs a professional and hospitable service. Thank you Andrea for the wonderful coffee from your farm and roastery, that was above and beyond our expectations.

Booking.com let me book a room that was overbooked, oops, but when I got there the employee yelled at me because of booking.com, insisting he sent a message earlier which he had not (I got the message about the cancellation just as I arrived), and didn’t even want to let me sit in the lobby to figure out next steps, even though I’m a woman traveling alone and might was falling. If you’re looking for actual hospitality and safety, don’t stay here.

This hotel is located close to the core of the city and close to bus stations in the core as well. The restaurant is very handy and is used a lot. A good place to get breakfast. There are a lot of restaurants on the pedestrian mall on 6a Avenida. A lot of people mention the crime rate in Guatemala City. The thought that one should feel menaced or endangered is an exaggeration. The staff is friendly and helpful in the restaurant.
