Exceeded expectations. Close to Tennoji park, walking distance to the palace and Namba. The staff were wonderful, the room large and immaculate. Breakfast was generous and made with care, and the ladies that served it were so thoughtful and kind. I discovered a food allergy while in Japan and they carefully accommodated it. My father and I had a great stay there for a week, it was a great base to explore Osaka, and day trips to Nara and Kyoto. I’d definitely stay there again.

I loved the intimate but chill vibes of hanging out with other the other people staying at Mad Cat, the interactivity of having your cats picture hung up on the cat wall, the incredible hospitality of Reiko and the rest of the staff and the decor of the whole place. I cannot NOT mention the cutest cats, Maru-chan and Koga. The bed was comfy and the location was great! Super recommend!

Ken-san was very flexible and accommodating. I took the night bus from Tokyo and had a 10am appointment the day I arrive in Osaka. I wanted a proper bath before this, and a place to leave my luggage. I couldn't check in yet, but he considered my situation and permitted me to use the common facilities. I could've booked a 3-star hotel or an apartment advertised affordably, but I'm glad I chose this place. The room was also spacious, and the futon comfortable for a good sleep. I especially love the "Cow Road" yakiniku place, nearby, an unassuming shop manned by a couple. The wagyu was soooo good for the price. There were also two train stations nearby (7 minute and 15 minute walk). He also had all the extra amenities that even business hotels won't have, like hair straightener, band-aid (for walking a lot), Muji face and bath products, etc. I also liked the small details of the place interiors like the Chinoiserie design sink, the industrial feels coffee cup wall, etc.

Looks quite new and well maintained. We stayed on the second floor and there is a spacious kitchen dining room where we could can hang our clothes after laundry (1st floor). The property is about 8-10 min walking distance from the train station and there is a 7-11 along the way. Quite convenient. The friendly landlord even left us a new year gift!

The host was amazing. Really, really loved the house. It's been a type of Japanese style house I've always wanted to experience. Old style Japanese house that housed our friends and we had such a wonderful time. The hostess did laundry for us and was always available. She's very sweet and easy to communicate with. There was nothing they didn't have at the facility. She even had a book of recommended activities and places to eat!

3 bedrooms without counting the living room area (or entrance/kitchen), TV with netflix, youtube, etc 2 Toilets and 2 Showers, one with a bath A TON of bars, restaurants and shopping right outside and around the area. Relatively close to 2 train stations and closer to subway. One of those stations is kind of a big one which is good.
