Located in isolated Yunohira station, this ryokan gave us feeling of solitude and privacy. When we first entered, we felt like we were in some Ghibli’s movies. The owners took care of us very well with heart warming accommodation. The ryokan has 4 hot springs which are well maintained. We spent a great long time in the hot springs during the snow and it was the best experience ever. Moreover, the food they served us here were plenty and super delicious.

Takaosou features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 24 miles of Oita Bank Dome and 9.4 miles of Kinrinko Lake.

Traditional authentic rooms and facilities. Great onsens. Food was the best i've had in a ryokan. Host's attention to detail and customer service was top notch. Fell asleep to the sound of the river outside my window. Simply the best.

The house is big with living room, dining, bedroom, toilet and bathroom seperately according to Japanese ryokan. The onsen comes with the perfect view of Yufuin city and mountains. The dinner and breakast were delicious and a lot. The staff was helpful and friendly. This was our perfect stay.

We had the most comfortable and relaxing stay at this ryokan. Service was impeccable and our house offered the most perfect view overlooking the rice fields and mountains with a secluded outdoor onsen. It was worth every penny!

It is one of the best ryokans that we ever stayed. They gave so many small souvenirs. Service was excellent. We also booked for 2 dinners for the 2 nights we stayed. They served sukiyaki on the first night and shabu shabu on the second night and there were amazing. They used good quality of meat and just melt in my mouth. We definitely recommend this place. It is only 5 minutes away from Yunotsubo shopping street.
