Perfect location, at the lively area of Hanok village, only few minutes walk from: Changgyeonggung palace, Gwangjang market, public transportation, restaurants, Spa&Sauna, grocery store. Safe neighborhood. I stayed in a single room, it was small but cozy, the bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean. They have a floor heating system so the temperature in the room was very nice (I stayed there in January). In the room there are TV and a small refrigerator. On the first floor there is an equipped kitchen (where I made myself breakfast and reheated leftovers from yesterday's dinner :) Staff was very nice and helpful, checking in was good, I think I arrived around 20:30, and there was still someone at the reception to let me in and explain about the place. They have laundry service for 5,000 won. Wifi was good. I enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend Hostel Korea - Ikseon.

The guesthouse was near Dongdaemun station exit #10 which was convenient, the host also met us along main road and assisted us we really appreciated this especially we arrived at around 1 AM. We stayed at the rooftop room (4th floor) which had its own exclusive outdoor area with a cute tent, my sisters and I enjoyed staying here at night even though it was very cold. Its a good place to stay if you are going to different areas of Seoul. There are not much restaurants at night its pretty quiet in the neighborhood, we had several late night snacks at the pizza place near which was quite good as well. Although if you walk to the other side of Dongdaemun there are several stores there which is maybe around a 5-10 minute walk. The place had towels, toiletries, free coffee etc. Our room had a private dining and kitchen area + laundry which was also convenient. There were days when it rained and they had umbrellas which we can use too. Overall we loved this place, and would definitely come back!

Everything was excellent! The location was accessible but not in a crowded area. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. We dined at Boccalino, Maru, and Akira Beck and had breakfast at the Marketplace and each restaurant offered distinct, very tasty, and well-crafted dishes. The masseuses at the spa were very good. The gym was well-equipped. Most importantly, all the staff were courteous, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful from booking our stay to our departure.
