Excellent hostel. Everything was perfect except for the size of the cooking area which, as so many others have stated, is too small.

The woman at the reception was very welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, and with nice furniture and wall-decorations. The kitchenette was small but had everything we needed, and the bathroom was simply as it should be. The center of Christchurch was about 15 minutes walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. There was also a large park with botanical gardens nearby, which we enjoyed very much.

This brand new boutique hotel is situated in 100 years old stone building which was part of the original University of Canterbury and is now the Christchurch Arts Precinct. The rooms were not huge but big enough for us as a couple. the beds were fabulous and the staff were attentive, supportive and hospitable. Access to little extras like tea and coffee in the Library and a continental breakfast in the conservatory made our stay superb. Dominic, the manager, gave us a tour of the establishment and was forever available to assist with any of our needs. The Arts Precinct has galleries, a wine bar and a cafe and these facilities just added value. We were a 5 minute walk to the centre of Christchurch and a pub was just around the corner. The Botanical Gardens were also just down the road. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough and we will return to stay.

Fantastic location, wonderful little extras (even a recipe book in the kitchen), and the most comfortable beds ever. It was the perfect size for 3 adult work colleagues, with room to work individually and come together when we wanted to. Would definitely recommend, and stay there again.

The staff was really friendly and helped us with any additional requests we had. Everything was really new and we made use of the kitchen as well as the washing machine - even a bit of laundry detergent was provided! The location is great to explore the city by foot. Early check-out was very uncomplicated.

A 6-minute walk from Canterbury Museum in the center of Christchurch, City Sanctuary on Kilmore features accommodations with access to a garden. With city views, this accommodation provides a balcony....

Very beautiful home. Super clean and comfortable. Everything works expected. The location is also excellent, near city center and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, gardens, and many attractions.

Beautiful historic house in the heart of Christchurch. Lovely surroundings and bed was super comfortable. Valley and her young exuberant assistant Marcella were friendly and helpful at every stage of our stay. Breakfasts were delicious and served in a beautiful dining room. Complimentary wine at five gave guests a chance to mingle. All around one of our favorite places in NZ!!
