Beautifully restored small hotel. Exceptional staff. Each person was helpful. Positive. Really went out of their way with arranging transports, booking tour guides,, suggesting restaurants, etc. Eggs to order each morning. Really wonderful! My best memory will be sitting out on the lawn drinking fantastic Portuguese wine with friends.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I was amazed at the complimentary food (nuts, fruit, candy) and drink (water, flavoured water) in the lobby, as well as the free mini bar offerings. When we arrived early from the airport, we were treated to cappuccino and pastel de nata. While we enjoyed this treat, our luggage was whisked up to our room. The beautiful room is well appointed, and has a comfortable bed with crisp linens. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. You have set the bar very high for other hotels. No other hotel has even come close, not even the Lisbon splurge hotel.

Carlos was an excellent host. He was very accommodating, respectful, and available to answer our questions, especially when we couldn’t understand how to use something or needed suggestions for places to eat. We also liked that there is a clean and affordable laundromat next door. The location was also convenient; close enough to Bolhão and Vila Nova de Gaia.

I loved the location of this place, right next to the metro and several grocery stores! It’s located in a decent part of town where it’s not too loud! Everything about it was very comfortable
