The location is great, directly next to the slopes. It is a very charming house built in a traditional style but with very modern up to date amenities. Room was very spacious, the sauna was very relaxing after a day of ski and the next day started off with great breakfast. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful - thanks again for making our stay memorable!

Obertauern’s Das Wismeyer is located right between 2 ski lifts and can be reached on skis. The property has an après-ski bar, a ski storage room with boot drying facilities and a sun terrace.

We happened to stop by here in Dec 2021 and enjoyed a couple of meals in the restaurant, and were severed by the wonderful Philippe, so when it popped up as an accommodation option, we grabbed it. And it didn't disappoint. They are going through a staged refurbishment programme, so some of the rooms have been refitted in a modern alpinee style and they are lovely. More will be completed this summer. We've already booked for 2024 so looking forward to our return. And my daughter loved the chance to ride on the snowmobile from the parking to the hotel and back (and Dad is looking forward to the chance to get a ride in a piste basher next year!)
