The breakfast provided was optional and looked very good. In addition, there was a separate kitchen where you could bring your own food and cook meals. The place looks like a large converted house with several rooms up and down stairs. They were all accessible from the outside and via sliding glass doors. It had the vide of a hostel or campers rest house. The woman who was there seemed to be a jack-of-all-trades as she manned the front desk, cooked breakfast, did the housekeeping and that’s only what we saw. The lodge is located a mile or two off of the main road and thus was quiet and peaceful.

As two families with young school aged kids, this location was a perfect weekend getaway for us. We loved the daily farm animal feedings, and adored the family doggies that visited us daily - they were adorable. The ample pantry staples were very welcomed and breakfast ingredients stocked in our house. The fresh eggs we could collect were delish!! Bring cash for firewood and any extra locally grown veggies. Emma, our host, was very helpful during our stay.

Unit was clean and tidy, linen and towels of good quality (my 15 year old son even commented on the towels). We had a family room which was spacious for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler. Our younger child loved the trampoline and play ground to go jump on while we unpacked. This was perfect for our one night stop over as is also very close to Australia Zoo.

Leaving early knowing that someone else smoking medicinal marijuana in the designated smoking area completely ruined her month maybe even her whole year and she doesn’t even understand why. Miserable sad ignorant bigot. Have fun knowing we have been laughing about your childish behaviour all day l.. you shrieked like a spoilt 7 year old when someone challenged your knowledge..

I loved the lay out of the room but a back door to that lovely little grass setting would be amazing
