Calile Hotel was probably my best stay ever. The staff are amazing, their rooms are super clean and equipped with everything a guest can look for, their pool area is great and their restaurant “Hellenika” was a great value. Cannot wait to come back one day!!

I’m genuinely surprised why people give such low reviews to this place. I came with very low expectations and they surprised me more than any 5 star hotel ever did. The room was big, comfortable and very clean. It even had an iron and a board. Check in process was very quick and smooth, lovely reception team member explained me everything about early check out as well. Team was also very helpful with possible late check out. Tv in the room has plenty of channels to choose from. The fridge had bottled water and milk and plenty of coffee/tea was in the room as well. When people pay as little as 140-150 dollars for night, they should not expect a resort experience, but appreciate cleanliness and the effort of the team.

A very comfortable house / unit in an amazing location near Nudgee Wetlands and beach. The house is spacious, the bedroom has an efficient wide blade fan as well as aircon, the bed was comfortable, kitchen is very well equipped, the deck (with ceiling fan) generally had a cooling breeze. A large bathroom with lots of light (big window). A large, separate laundry room which was fantastic. Many lovely little touches.
We booked this accommodation for 3 nights (and should have had a week), for easy access to the airport (about 10km) and loved it. The Wetlands are wonderful with many birds to be seen

we didnt spend enough time in brighton to be judgmental what we saw was very acceptable .we were actually on the way to Redcliff and picked friends up from the airport Brighton was very convenient for that exercise.

Brisbane is an amazing city. Young and full of life.
Brisbane is an amazing city. Young and full of life. QPAC is a credit to the State and a wonderful venue for the Arts. And of course, the Brisbane River and her City Cats are an added joy. Wheelchair accessibility is a positive plus for me. Without that I would not be able to attend shows like Fiddler on the Roof at QPAC.

Location is fantastic.
But we had cars doing noisy smelly burnouts for an hour on Friday and Saturday night nearby.
Someone had cooked a greasy fry-up in the kitchen that was still splattered above the stove.
The host wanted an extra deposit for the property, which had nice photos, but turned out to be a Kmart furnished flat with bird poo on the balcony.
And the host is emphatic about the styling and hasn't considered the guests needs and comfort - a choice of pillows, a bed that isn't falling down, quality bathroom products, coffee pods, milk and nice tea, a kitchen cloth for the worktop, a box of tissues, a 2nd tea towel, some kitchen paper.
This is much less than a hotel, but with a price that suggests 24 hour service, quality and care, like Mon Komo or the Sebel at Sutton's Beach nearby. It is not.

Google maps does not show this property as Oxford Park, it is Everton Park. Trust google to get you there because it is a tricky series of twists and turns, but worth it. The area is a quiet, family and pet friendly. At the bottom of the road there are walking trails and we found two kids parks there. The owner is friendly and helpful.
The property has everything including sharp knives, chopping boards, full fridge, all cooking equipment and comforts.

Brisbane is a very compact city, most things are within easy walking distance of each other and the majority of CBD hotels. For those that aren't, the public transport is cheap ( currently 50 cents per journey -any length) on buses, and the city cat ferries. The ferries are a great way to see the city skyline both during the day and more so at night. There are a number of bridges across the Brisbane River all connecting with the bankside river walkways.
Brisbane has some interesting "convict history" including both the windmill which was convict built and included a punishment treadmill, which provide back up for the poor siting and sails. The old "Commissariat Museum" on the waterfront gives a further insight to Brisbane's past. For those seeking a more peaceful option, the Botanical Gardens are a delight. Finally visitors should take the trip to the "Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary" whilst the Koalas are the stars, the range of native animals and birds and the informative free displays and talks make for a full days outing and just over the hour away by bus.
A further thing, particularly if you get the night munchies, a must visit is the Manor Pancake House, open 24 hours. A wide selection of both classic "crepes" and "American style pancakes" both sweet and savoury, its a must at anytime of day. Gluten free and vegan options throughout the menu.
Another couple of ways to see the city at night are from the roof top bars at the Star Casino and the Emporium Hotel on either side of the river.

A wonderful atmosphere overall.
A wonderful atmosphere overall. Nice restaurants, beautiful pristine beaches. I could not ask for more. Take a lovely walk along the promenade or indulge in a boat trip with some whale watching. Stop at the Belvedere for outstanding breakfast or one of the coffee shops for a great drink. I am very keen to go back and stay longer

The river is amazing, ferries to catch everywhere, walk through Southbank..beaches, art, theatre, food, rainforest, lizards, ..ferry to Lone Pine Sanctuary is a MUST very informative cruise, food & drinks on board and the sanctuary was fantastic. Kangaroos loving pats, eagle show, koala show and you get to see them very close not cages, food lovely trees, shady walking.

Recommend Butcher Baker Coffeemaker Cafe for coffee/breakfast, Seafood Town, visited it twice with excellent array of fish to choose from and seafood meals deals and not overly expensive, the Belvedere Hotel meals were good.

We were delighted with everything at the Novotel Brisbane Airport Hotel. It was a great place for us to stay for the final night of our holiday in Australia. It was in close proximity to the Brisbane airport for our flight home the next day.
