Food was out of this world. I would recommend the BBQ ribs. All the staff were very friendly and chatty. Rooms are snug and nicely decorated.

Excellcellent property, great room with good views of the picturesque village near the Ridgeway. Perfect stop for someone hiking on the Berkshire Downs. The quality of the meals was exceptional, and the breakfast was a great value.

For a continental spread, laid out in the room the night before, the breakfast was exceptional. Light, flaky croissants, ice cold real milk and orange juice in the fridge and top notch yoghurts. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy without being cramped. The only downside is the proximity to the road, but even that didn't warrant the supplied ear plugs (in our case). We had a very enjoyable meal and several delicious pints as well. Highly recommended!
