This castle has been completely renovated but it still has the feel of being old. It is extremely well maintained, the restaurant is excellent and the staff super helpful. The nearby town of Todi is worth spending a few hours walking around.

It was a very last minute booking because I didn’t realized our other booking had declined the reservation until we got there, after dark. The lady who checked us in saw it right away and drove in from her house to open the hotel for us, and she gave us an upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony, and helped carry our bags up. The room was clean and comfortable and the view was incredible.

The style of hotel is unique with it being spread out within the village. The staff are outstanding, Paul makes everyone feel so welcome and it's obvious that he has a great rapport with the staff. The restaurant was one of our favourites in Italy and I wish we had stayed longer so we could have tried more of the food. We did the cooking class which was a lot of fun and Delfina is so passionate about her food - it's obvious why the restaurant is so good. On our last night we had dinner at the poolside BBQ which was amazing. It was one long table and we were able to eat with the other guests who we'd had the occasional chat with during our stay, but this dinner really allowed us to connect further - so fun! We spent a lot of time by the beautiful pool relaxing which is just what we needed at the end of a busy holiday exploring other parts of Italy.

The staff is so friendly. The location is perfect, 30 minutes from Assisi. Great local ceramic shopping. The food at their restaurant, I Rodella, is creative and tastes incredible and they have an extensive wine list.

We loved the location to the town, restaurants shops, all within walking distance. Also we loved the terrace off the bedrooms and kitchen a pleasure. The villa was cool, comfortable and a lot of effort was taken to create comfort especially the bedrooms. The hosts were absolutely wonderful!! We were greeted by the hosts upon arrival, they left a bottle of local wine and fresh homemade biscuits, fresh fruit and lots of bottled water for us. Highly recommended, we would love to stay again when in the area.
