The view was breathtaking, the food was exceptional - fresh, local, organic, the hosts are extremely kind, pleasant, helpful and hospitable, we felt like at home; we visited many beaitiful places in the world but this is one of our favorotes ever, the island is very beautiful and the activities on the island are diverse - hiking to Pacha Mama and Pacha Tata, going to the local market, dancing in the evening on local music with the wonderful local people, dressed in traditional clothes generously provided by the hosts for all our family of 5; all facilities were excellent and very clean, beds v comfortable, with beautiful linen and warm arbalnkets, we were perfectly comfortable and not cold at all at night; eating sallon is very spacious and with a lake and mountains view, rooms and balcony are also with a breathtaking lake and mountains view. we highly recommend this place, the lodging and the hosts are exceptional.

The facilities were located in a quiet neighborhood. Although the room was a part of their family home, it had a separate entrance and a private bathroom, allowing the guest more privacy. We dined with the family, enjoying a typical vegetarian meal fixed by them.

Beautiful property right on the beach. Comfortable rooms. Host family was very friendly and helped us organize boat tours and taxi rides. Very relaxing stay. Home cooked meals were delicious.

Wonderful time with Celso and his family, we were able to learn so much about their culture! The food was fresh and really good. The animals (sheep, chickens and cats) kept my daughters entertained and happy.

Welcoming and helpful owners. They were available before our arrival in Llachon to answer questions, met us in the plaza to help with luggage, cooked breakfast to order every morning and shared their culture and traditions. Don Primo has been hosting visitors for 20 years. Hector was always available. The casita was beautifully designed. The view of the lake from both inside and outside on the private deck was fantastic. A truly unique experience.

Our host Anna Julia was wonderful. The meals she prepared (separate from the overnight booking) were delicious. The accommodations are rustic, but if you are looking for a way to experience Taquile Island and interact with a lovely family this is the place for you!

I loved my stay here. The family are beautiful and looked after me very well with delicious food, cultural education and support in arriving and leaving. The room is artistically painted, bed comfortable with a ton of blankets to keep you warm and you get a little hot water bottle in a sock, which is very thoughtful. Bathroom is new and tiled with ceramic toilet and sink, but there's no running water- use buckets which is not a problem. There is electricity. The island is serene with no cars. Staying with this family is a memory I will cherish and never forget. You could not ask for more kind, friendly and generous people. They were so happy to share their everyday life and culture and their big hearts! Highly recommended!
