Amazing stay - hosts Carlos, Bianca and Alejandro were very welcoming and communicative. They were able to help with a transfer from the airport. The building is in a lovely renovated traditional house that has some very calming gardens and two swimming pools. I also went to several of the restaurants they recommended and wasn't disappointed.

This small boutique hotel is well located, close enough to the centre but out of the hassle and bustle. The house is beautifully and very tastefully developed and decorated. The breakfast is amazing! We ended up extending our stay. Above all is the service. This is a lovely oasis close to centre of Merida. Furnished with antiques the place is restful and the staff and owners were wonderful. Breakfast overlooking the garden was always a wonderful experience. The city centre is a pleasant walk or a very cheap uber ride. Very quiet location. Highly recommend this small hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet area of Merida. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who not only served a delicious welcome cocktail, but also shared thoughtful and personalised recommendations for our stay in Merida. The entire team at The Diplomat went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional, showing genuine warmth throughout. From the homemade vegetarian breakfast each morning to the poolside cocktails and the ultra-fast laundry service, everything was seamless and always delivered with a smile. The small shop offering local specialties and gifts was also a lovely touch. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. If we're ever back in Merida, we will definitely be back!

What a beautiful hotel right in Merida city center! The facilities are incredible comfortable, even the unusual exterior shower that was a pleasant surprise! There is a near by car parking. The hotel staff is really nice and helpful! We couldn’t have chosen a better stay for our trip.
