The location was great and staff very friendly. Perfect place to rest in the area, not too far from Balmoral castle.

Set in acres of gardens, Tor-na-Coille Hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and a restaurant serving local Scottish produce. All rooms are en suite and offer tea and coffee making facilities.

This is the nicest hotel I have stayed in in Scotland- spotlessly clean, beautiful bedroom and the main common areas are beautifully and tastefully finished - a recent renovation is to a very high standard. The owners run the hotel very professionally. The front desk staff are very helpful and experienced, as are the staff that look after you at breakfast. Just a wonderful experience for me. It has a fascinating history tied to Queen Victoria. I highly recommend

This former church has been tastefully converted, enabling retention of the original features. Auld Kirk B&B is located in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside.

In town; easy to walk to restaurant. Breakfast excellent. Only stayed one night but would like to return.

No 45, Ballater is a guest house set in an acre of gardens and is just 5 minutes' walk from the center of Ballater. The individually designed rooms each offer unique charm.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a beautifully decorated large room on the ground floor of the guest house. Both the beds and linens were the most comfortable, most luxurious we experienced in our month traveling through Scotland. The breakfast was amazing - a wide variety of options and everything cooked to perfection. The view outside our bedroom window onto the hillside was nothing short of spectacular with the fall foliage. This was a quick (one-night) stopover for us - we would have loved to have spent more time in Ballater and at No. 45!
