Being very close to the beach was nice! It is also a 5 min walk to Marsol ( interregional connecting bus) The walled city is a little far walking but definitely close enough for a little longer walk, like 15-20 min. There you can find all restaurants and historic sites etc. Margarita communicated well and was very attentive. We had problems with ceiling lights (one tiny light bulb per room), Ac broken, shower door broken, but Margarita did her best at fixing them.

Erik was fantastic. Whatever I needed, anything I asked. Not much English, so don't expect his fluency. The room was small but practically "soundproof." I could hear people in the hall, but it was otherwise as quiet as you could ever ask for. The room was spotless, and the building was cleaned daily It had a mini - split, so the temperature was always to my liking. The TV had an app that had hundreds of movies in English. I loved the neighborhood!!. Lots of shops, restaurants, a bakery, 7 restaurants within 2 blocks and dozens more within a short walk. Small shops and 2 major supermarkets within a few blocks. The rooftop kitchen was enough to enjoy my breakfast and a to-go meal at night. I spent a lot of time up there.

The hostess, Rosario, was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen met our needs perfectly. There was a convenience store across the street. The best part of the stay was Rosario's friendliness, along with Ms. Martha (? - I think that was her name?). They gave us a lot of care and excellent recommendations on things to see, places to eat, transportation, etc. They are great ambassadors for Cartagena!

Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. We were made very welcome and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Comfortable bed, quiet room and hot running water (not to be taken for granted in Latin America!) The area is not touristy, so we were kind of left alone, which we liked. Felt safe. Easy walking distance to Getsemaní. The pool was immaculate and relaxing. We had an excellent stay and recommend Le Marie highly.
