Very nice city with beautiful buildings in the historic center and Getsemani, which are very lively. Therefore it can be very noisy due to loud music. Lots of street vendors, street artists, shops, bars, restaurants. Great to walk around and experience the caribbean atmosphere!

Cartagena de Indias is a city rich in history and vibrant culture. The colonial architecture and colorful streets are a feast for the eyes. However, I found the city to be extremely hot, which made daytime exploring quite exhausting. There are also a lot of street vendors, which can be overwhelming at times. The nights were quite noisy, especially in the bustling areas, which made it difficult to relax.
On a positive note, a visit to Baru Island was a highlight of the trip. The island offers beautiful beaches and a more tranquil atmosphere, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, Cartagena has its charms but comes with a few drawbacks that travelers should be prepared for.

This is one of my fav places in the world to visit but, unfortunately, sex tourism is becoming a big problem in Cartagena. As long as there is no control of the "demand", the supply will be there. It is about time this gets fixed. Some hotels do their part but the problem is bigger than one thinks. It is almost out of control.
There are also places I would not dare to visit unless I am accompanied by several friends. If you want to head out and have a few drinks, be very careful with cell phone and wallet.

Nice vacation, a lot to see, city is really nice, especially in the evening with animations. But very hot and beaches are not clean, you need to go to beaches far away (by boat). I liked to see free animals (monkeys,...) in the city park Centenario.

I came from Medellin and this hotel really leans into the Spanish Colonial vibe. It's an older structure, so sound from outside the building doesn't carry. The ceilings are immense so the rooms are quite cool despite Cartagena's relentless heat. There is a small pool in a garden for relaxing.
The iguana door knocker made me smile.
It was easy wandering the streets of the old city. I just had to look for that dumb iguana to make sure I made it back.
Hotel staff were beyond helpful and went out of their way to assist us. They spoke amazing English.
The rooftop and pool area is small but has a beautiful view and is next to the bar/ restaurant.
The room is decorated so nicely and the bed is the most comfortable I've slept in in Colombia so far. The bathroom is really equipped with toiletries etc.
Would highly reccomend a stay here.
Nice and comfortable room as in the photos.
Pretty hotel, nice rooftop, nice location, less than 10 min away from the main old city centre (intra walls).
To get decent coffee, go to Libertario just 20m away from the hotel. Other than the undrinkable coffee, breakfast was good, pretty setting.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city which provided a sanctuary from the heat and sensory overload at times outside. Very attentive staff, service and five star treatment.
Yummy breakfast included and we took advantage of the room service.
Beautiful colonial house garden hotel. An oasis from the busy walled old city at the end of the street. Gorgeous big room with terrace and direct access to pool in garden setting. Very accomodating and friendly staff
