We stayed at a beautiful SHUKPA GUEST HOUSE in Leh for two nights and had an experience that was both warm and memorable. Right from the moment We arrived, We were welcomed with a traditional Ladakhi scarf , which was a lovely gesture and made us feel instantly connected to the local culture. The staff were extremely well-mannered, respectful, and always ready to help. Their genuine hospitality gave the entire place a homely atmosphere, and it truly felt like We were staying with family rather than at a commercial property. Breakfasts were simple and decent—just what you need to start the day. The dinners, however, were the highlight: delicious, freshly prepared, and full of authentic Ladakhi and home-style flavors. Every meal was clearly made with love and care. One of the most special parts of our stay was the stunning view from the guest house. From the property, I could see the majestic Leh mountains—including the towering Stok Kangri, which brought back fond memories of my past climb. Waking up to those views each morning was truly magical. If you're visiting Leh and want a stay that offers comfort, culture, great food, and a warm local touch, this guest house is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful introduction to Ladakh from Tashi and Puntsok. Beautiful accommodation and delicious home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner. This was the perfect place to acclimatise with incredible views and Tashi went above and beyond. They were so friendly, it was like staying with friends. I highly recommend Oogpa House for a fantastic introduction to Ladakh. Thank you so much, we will remember it forever!

The location is super convenient, guesthouse is beautiful and well-maintained and full of flowers, the room is spacious, super clean with good views and bright light, comfortable bed, big clean shower room, and a nice terrace facing the Tsemo Goenkhang to sit & relax & have breakfast. Stanzin is the amazing host, very heartful, responsive, and willing to help, together with her sister Diskit and mother, sweet daughter form a very homey and feminine caring atmosphere, the cook and staff are very friendly, offer yummy food and great service. I extend my stay again again, and take here as a base, home while traveling In/around Ladakh. Definitely recommend it to everyone coming to Leh.
